Gc opens largest boutique in the world in Abu Dhabi @Seddiqi_uae and unveils exclusive diamond retail area 'Precious Corner'

The Swiss Made watch brand Gc continues to grow its retail footprint across the world, and has chosen Abu Dhabi as the location for its largest store in the world. Covering nearly 100 square meters, it is also the first boutique with a dedicated diamond area, in the exquisite Galleria mall at Sowwah Square in Abu Dhabi.  This new design concept perfectly reflects the modern style, premium quality and the sophisticated ‘Smart Luxury’ signature of the Gc brand.

Gc opened its first boutique in Kuala Lumpur in 2007, and has since then expanded to nearly 40 boutiques in key retail locations around the world.  In the United Arab Emirates, Gc is already strongly represented in Dubai, and the new large scale boutique in Abu Dhabi is further  testament to the growing relevance and importance of the Emirates for international Swiss watch makers. In addition to being the largest in the world, it is also the first to offer a dedicated diamond corner to present the Gc Precious Collection with its wide diamond timepiece collection, ranging from elegant diamond set dials to full diamond bezels.
Based in the Gc headquarters office in Zug, Switzerland, Brett Gibson, Senior Vice President - International Sales of Guess & Gc Watches flew in to Abu Dhabi to be part of the opening.  “Gc’s growth in the Middle East, especially in the UAE has been dynamic and is very promising. We see a lot of potential in the UAE, and as can be seen from the opening of our largest boutique in Abu Dhabi, we are committed to the region.”

The boutique opening was also attended by Shayma Ahmed Al Mughairy, celebrated sand artist and Gc personality who was chosen as part of Gc’s 2011 ‘Moments of Smart Luxury’ concept, which identifies emerging creative personalities who emulate the Gc values and are ambitious, dynamic, self-assured and proud of their success. Shaya captivated the audience when she demonstrated her skill in manipulating sand to create fluid art and demonstrate why she is one of the most promising sand artists in the world.
