- Right Bite’s ongoing partnership with
the Maria Cristina Foundation boosts the charity’s educational outreach
program in Bangladesh
- Right Bite has been able to sponsor a
number of children since the partnership commenced in January this year
On the surface, you might
think that subscribing to a custom Right Bite meal plan package could only help
you meet your nutrient needs and achieve your fitness goal. Not quite, as the benefits extend beyond
giving you good health – you are also actually helping a child in Bangladesh pursue
his dream through education!
Right
Bite, in line with its commitment to give back to communities, is donating a
portion of its healthy meal plan packages’ sales revenue to the Maria Cristina
Foundation (MCF), a charity established by Maria Conceicao with the primary
mission to provide education for the street kids of Dhaka in Bangladesh. Right Bite sealed its partnership with MCF at
the start of this year and since its inception, Right Bite has been able to
sponsor a number of children and hopes to provide for more deserving kids as
the partnership continues.
Right
Bite lauds MCF’s focus to provide the highest standard of assistance for the
benefit of the children. The company in
fact acknowledges the foundation’s uniqueness revealing that its practice of
channelling donations in full 100% to the beneficiaries is one of the primary
reasons that prompted Right Bite to solidify its ties with Maria Cristina
Foundation.
In
addition, Right Bite gives further support to the MCF founder, Maria Conceicao,
as her nutrition advocate, in which Right Bite provides Maria with continuous
nutritional consultations, advice and encouragement as she takes on different
endurance challenges in support of her charity.
Maria, who has already summited Mount Everest, trekked to the North
Pole, summited South America’s Aconcagua and Africa’s Kilimanjaro, and climbed Denali
in North America, recently conquered the 777 Challenge, a seven full-distance
50km ultra marathons, that was run on each of the seven continents in seven
weeks. While training for the 777
Challenge, Maria received daily provision of healthy meals from Right Bite’s FuelUp
program, which is designed for individuals who want to increase in muscle mass,
reach a desirable percent body fat as well as ensure they are getting the right
nutrition to achieve peak performance.
Nathalie
Haddad, Founder and Managing Director, The Right Bite Nutrition and Catering
Services L.L.C., said: “Right Bite is a lifestyle enhancing nutrition and
catering service. While we stand for
healthy living and eating, we are also passionate about empowering individuals
to make positive changes to their overall well-being. We are thrilled to be given this opportunity
to work with Maria Conceicao, and in our own little way, make a difference in
some people’s lives.”
The undertaking is a natural extension of Right Bite’s longstanding
commitment to promote the importance of education. “We had a Right Bite team that recently went
to Dhaka as part of our focus on this campaign.
We are privileged to have met the children, as well as being able to
visit their school and their families. It’s
overwhelming to see that there’s too much help needed but knowing
that what we provide the children is a long-term and sustainable approach for
poverty reduction, we know that our efforts will definitely bear fruits. It’s
really a wonderful campaign as Right Bite is not the only one contributing to
the cause. Somehow we are able to engage
our customers in it. We’re also giving
them the opportunity to create a brighter future for the less fortunate, one
child at a time,” Nathalie added.
Making
a lasting impact on the world may not be an easy task, but it is definitely not
impossible, especially for Right Bite. “We
have always adopted well-thought CSR programs, and we believe that if you really
want to make a difference, you have to stay true to what you do. It’s more like being in a marathon, not a
sprint. We are helping in a small manner
but hope to go a long way,” Nathalie declared.
To
extend maximum support to MCF, Right Bite also set up a link on their website (www.right-bite.com)
to the foundation’s donations gateway for those who wish to donate. There is also a Dynamic
Donation Counter on the page displaying the donation amount generated.
