The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) in collaboration with SNTTA Travel in offering 5, 6 or 7-day packages to Kenya, an opportunity for the winners to experience the Kenyan Wilderness.

The packages which are valid till 30th November 2012 include accommodation in Nairobi, Nakuru Lake, Maasai Mara and Aberdares for longer stays, as well as transfers, game drives, meals and a complimentary safari hat! Speaking about the ‘Experience the Kenya Wilderness’ promotion KTB, Regional Marketing Manager John Chirchir said the partnership will help in promoting Kenya as a tourist destination of choice . SNTTA is a leading travel agent in the UAE and is well recognised for offering quality and good value for money holidays.
The packages have been created to provide travellers from the Middle East the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of some of Kenya’s leading national reserves, to experience a safari and see first- hand Kenya’s wildlife.

Kenya’s accessibility
Kenya is just 4 ½ hours flying time away from the major cities of the GCC and the number of airlines which offer flights from the region to the East African country continues to grow and expand. Emirates Airlines, Gulf Air, Air Arabia, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Qatar Airways, RwandAir, Ethiopian Airlines as well as Kenya Airways all fly directly from the Gulf into Kenya, with the number of carriers expanded to include Etihad Airways which started flying from April 2012.
Louella Medeira - Manager - Holidays & MICE, SNTTA says: "Kenya is a fabulous short-haul destination for families or couples and offers such diversity of choice for a truly memorable holiday. The ‘Experience the Kenya Wilderness’ packages offer an exciting itinerary and are ideal for both first time or repeat travellers who enjoy safaris and the great outdoors of Kenya.”

UAE market to Kenya
Kenya’s popularity as a tourist destination for Middle East residents has steadily grown, with the number of visitors from the UAE in the last four years almost doubling.
Chirchir disclosed that tourism revenues from the UAE for the first half of 2012 increased by 193% compared to the same period last year, which shows an upward trend for Kenya as a destination for residents of the UAE.
Overall, the Middle East is still an emerging market, and we hope the ‘Experience the Kenya Wilderness’ promotion will further enhance tourism from this sector. Access into Kenya has also been made easier with most nationalities receiving visas on arrival and the Kenyan Government not requiring visitors to take any vaccinations prior to entering the country.
