Punchline Comedy Club is back to get you in the spirit this December
Get into the festive spirit by laughing your way through December. And what will tickle you, do you wonder? The one, the only, the world-famous Punchline Comedy Club, of course! Back in the UAE for another side-splitting tour, why not enjoy your Christmas night out with friends, family and colleagues in the company of top quality international comedians?
Punchline Comedy Club originally started in Hong Kong and has enthralled audiences all over the world. Since it’s launch in the Middle East earlier in 2013, the UAE has witnessed the finest and funniest entertainers from the professional comedy circuit.
This December is no exception. With a fabulous bill to see you into the festive season, Punchline Comedy Club welcomes comedians Wayne Deakin, Dave Johns and Daniel Townes.
Relaxed, full of banter and sharp observational humour, Wayne Deakin is a regular headliner at comedy venues across Australia. Based in London and enjoying gigs at the Comedy Store, Jongleurs and Glee Clubs, he also tours constantly throughout the US, Canada and beyond. Wayne starred in and produced Channel 31’s highest ever-rating show, Tiger TV, and can be seen on the Comedy Channel with ‘Stand Up Australia’.
Dave Johns started stand-up in 1989 and has played all major comedy clubs and festivals worldwide ever since. He is a regular guest on popular comedy TV panel shows ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ (BBC2) and ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’ (C4), and in addition to stand-up has performed in one man shows and in the West End stage play ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest’ with Christian Slater. A genuinely funny guy, Dave has an uncontrived manner and a huge sense of fun.
With his laid back style of stand up, Daniel Townes is not only a household name in Australia, but has performed all over the world with his act. A festival regular, he was invited to perform at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. His 2011 live recorded DVD ‘Previously’ was shortlisted for both the People’s Choice Award and Sydney’s Best Comedian. Daniel is amiable, chatty and bursting with wit!
