WHISKEY & STEAK NIGHT AT PRIME STEAKHOUSE @MeydanHotel



26th November will see Prime Steakhouse at Meydan Hotel open its doors for a whiskey tasting night whilst enjoying the finest steak.

The evening will feature five “Single Malt” whiskeys and a three-course menu with an amuse-bouche to start.
       
The five Single Malt  whiskeys  will be presented and tasted during the evening to pair with Chef Guenter’s menu.

Prime serves only the finest cuts of premium beef sourced from around the world with an emphasis on quality and flavour.

The whiskeys will include:

Auchentoshan Classic: Triple distilled and matured solely in American bourbon casks. A  Lowland Single Malt Whisky with the sweet aromas of vanilla and coconut - along with the signature smooth, delicate, Auchentoshan taste.

Highland Park 18: A superb 18 year old from the Highland Park distillery and a winner of a Gold Medal at the 2005 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The nose is a profusion of ripe floral notes and fresh blossom with a delectable fruit salad. Notes of honeyed exotic fruits with a little botrytis. The palate is creamy and full with fruit conserves and espresso. A creaminess with cinnamon and allspice. Notes of toffee with thick black forest honey with a touch more citrus. The finish is long and well sugared with a herbal edge.

Ardbeg 10:   Ardbeg Ten Years Old is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance.

Glenmorangie 18: Rich, rounded and sweet with dried fruits and a complex floral fragrance. The taste is balanced between honey, malt and flowery scents. Dates and figs emerge in the background with a hint of wood smoke. The finish is long and enticing with the sweetness of dried fruit and subtle dryness of Oloroso nuttiness.

Glenfiddich 18:  Fine Spanish Oloroso wood and American oak mature this rich, intriguingly fruity and robust oak expression. Has extraordinary consistency and character, from an intense marrying period. And a warming, distinguished finish.
