GOLFERS GEAR UP FOR INAUGURAL MEN'S OPEN AT MEYDAN GOLF

The region's best golfers are gearing up for what is tipped to be one of the highlights of the UAE golfing calendar  - the Meydan Golf Men's Open.

The stroke-play event takes place over two days, March 1st and 2nd, and will be played over 36 holes at the nine hole course at The Track, Meydan.
It is the newest event on the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) Order of Merit circuit and 36 golfers will battle it out for top honours and EGF points at the picturesque golf course.
Only the very best will selected to compete in what promises to be one of the hardest fought EGF competitions. EGF, Troon, The Track and Meydan Golf will hold a handicap ballot on 23rd February when the top ranked players will be chosen for the Open.
The selected players will then have an opportunity to play the course in a practice session on Thursday 28th February for 100AED, before competition begins in earnest the following day.
As well as earning EGF points and the inaugural Men's Open title, the winners will receive special prizes from Meydan, Troon and Taylormade.
Registration closes on February 23rd and the ballot will be drawn the following day.
To register your interest, contact: info@meydangolf.com. Prices are 795AED per guest, 695AED for Emirates Golf Federation or Troon members. The price for juniors is 695AED per player. The price includes a free buffet breakfast available on both days of the tournament.
