Regular Festival-goers are in for a treat this New Year with a host
of new benefits added to the Festival Friends programme, said organisers of the
Emirates Airline Festival of Literature. The Festival Friends programme is an
annual membership that offers attractive benefits for a variety of sessions
with some of the world’s best authors.
“Festival Friends are a huge part of the success of the
Festival. They make up an exclusive group who, through their membership with
the Festival, are helping the community and promoting literacy in the region.
The benefits that we have added are the Festival’s way of thanking our most
loyal supporters,” said Isobel Abulhoul, Festival Director of Emirates Airline
Festival of Literature.
Membership to the Festival Friends programme will now be
divided into three new categories – Level 1 Single for an individual member,
Level 1 Couple which is either for a couple or for two friends to share, and
Level 2, which will replace the former Friends Plus level.
The loyalty scheme continues to offer members 10% discount
on all sessions as well as priority access to tickets, reserved seating during
the Festival and admission to the exclusive Festival Friends Lounge at the
Festival venue, InterContinental Hotel Dubai Festival City, where Friends can
relax and enjoy beverages and snacks while they wait between sessions.
Along with the discounted tickets, Festival Friends will get
discounts on Costa Coffee products at any Costa Coffee outlet in Dubai for a
year.
Festival Friends receive regular updates and invitations to literary
events and workshops held at Dar Al Adaab, the home of the LitFest. Membership
for Level 1 Single is priced at AED 199, while Level 1 Couples membership can
