Mall of the Emirates Launches Autumn/Winter Fashion Campaign on the Snow-capped Slopes of the Desert

‘Fall for Fashion’ to feature the signature World of Fashion event from October 3^rd-14^th

Mall of the Emirates has unveiled its Fall for Fashion campaign on the snowy slopes of Ski Dubai to launch the new Autumn/Winter collections. The powdery ski slopes became a frosty backdrop to debut the latest fashion trends to celebrate the onset of the new fall season. The mall’s signature event, World of Fashion, also took to the winter resort to announce the exciting schedule of runway shows, designer appearances and beauty events from October 3^rd-14^th.

 

Now in its third year, World of Fashion will host an incredible 20+ catwalk shows featuring the latest collections from Tommy Hilfiger, Etoile La Boutique, DKNY and many more. This year, the festival has attracted International star power with Italian jeweler Roberto Coin, legendary designer Gianvito Rossi and renowned make-up artist Bassam Fattouh. Adding to the excitement, Arab superstar and style icon Nancy Ajram is collaborating with Mall of the Emirates for World of Fashion, complete with a live Q&A session on the runway and a special meet-and-greet with fans. Nancy Ajram’s bold, yet refined fashion taste influence and inspire style trends in the Middle East and worldwide.

Celebrated fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger will kick off World of Fashion on Thursday, October 3^rd with the Middle East launch of his latest collection. The weekend will carry non-stop fashion catwalk shows from popular contemporary brands DKNY, Juicy Couture and Bebe; as well as an appearance from fashionable style blogger Tala Samman on Saturday night. On Sunday, October 6^th, ESMOD’s most talented students will showcase their fashionable creations on the runway.

Throughout the week, World of Fashion will also showcase an exclusive beauty catwalk show from renowned make-up artist Bassam Fattouh, an on-stage discussion with designer Gianvito Rossi, and the Middle East launch of the Christian Louboutin Nudes collection. Famed designer and fashion industry stalwart Ingie Chalhoub will be revealing limited edition pieces from Etoile La Boutique to close the World of Fashion runway with glam, complimented by a live on-stage interview with style star Nancy Ajram.

Shoppers can also stop by special makeup studios to get the latest fashion tips and courtesy makeovers from industry experts plus have the chance to win a trip to London to personally meet acclaimed designer Roland Mouret and a dress from his S/@ 2014 collection. Throughout the month of October, shoppers can fall head-over-heels for fashion by shopping just AED 699 for the chance to win an exclusive new Autumn/Winter wardrobe worth AED 75,000! Fall for Fashion is doubling coupons for visitors shopping within the fashion category of Mall of the Emirates. The mall is also celebrating ‘Golden Week’ from October 1^st to 9^th to thank Chinese shoppers visiting Mall of the Emirates. To mark Chinese National Day, Chinese shoppers that spend AED 1,000 have the chance to win AED 5,000 daily.

Monday October 7 Beauty & Style	Make-up artist Bassam Fattouh hosts a private function from 3:00pm -5:00pm before appearing live on-stage at 7.30pm for his beauty catwalk show.

Mall of the Emirates brings back a ‘World of Fashion’

International runway chic, the latest beauty trends, fashion and art exhibitions and the region’s best designers come together for the hottest event of the year

For the second year in a row, Mall of the Emirates will take the spotlight by hosting the hottest fashion, beauty and arts event of the year: World of Fashion. From October 3rd – 16th, Mall of the Emirates will transform into a live catwalk featuring non-stop runway shows, beauty demonstrations and exhibitions for shoppers, visitors and anyone with a passion for fashion to revel in. Recognised as a platform that will position Dubai amongst the ranks of the world’s leading fashion destinations, World of Fashion is set to be bigger, better and infused with more glamour than ever before.

World of Fashion will lay out the red carpet with an ‘Evening of Glamour’ on October 3rd, unveiling their new haute couture collections from Etoile. Following the grand opening, each day for the following two weeks will feature a new event with fun and sassy themes such as ‘Shoe Playground’, ‘Hottest, Newest, Latest’ and ‘Fashion and Art’ which will include a masterclass with world-famous style illustrator to the stars, David Downton. World of Fashion’s catwalk shows take centre stage however, and Mall of the Emirates will present over a week of show-stopping, high energy fashion shows from leading luxury and high street brands available in the mall, giving shoppers the added advantage of scoring the latest Autumn/Winter collections right away. Moreover Mall of the Emirates will be producing an exclusive Style Guide and World of Fashion Events Calendar which will be included in the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar and distributed in-mall, allowing visitors to plan their fourteen days of activities and take home the latest fashion tips.

Mall of the Emirates is also promoting fashion with a cause by joining hands with nail experts NStyle to create a special edition nail polish called ‘Fashion Dome’. A Mall of the Emirates exclusive, this vibrant red nail polish - one of the must-have colours this Autumn/Winter season, will make its debut for World of Fashion. All proceeds from sales of ‘Fashion Dome’ will go towards Dubai Foundation for Women and Children. ‘Fashion Dome” will be on sale starting October across all NStyle outlets and during the World of Fashion event.  

World of Fashion has grown to become the premiere luxury shopping and fashion event for the region, with its unveiling of seasonal collections, avant garde pieces and tie-in with the arts. This will be Mall of the Emirates’ second consecutive year hosting this event.
