Middle East’s largest consumer IT and electronics sales bonanza opens tomorrow at Dubai World Trade Centre
More than AED50 million in prizes on offer

The
biggest sales extravaganza for the Middle East’s IT and consumer electronics
industry starts tomorrow (Saturday) when GITEX Shopper 2012 welcomes visitors
to its new, expanded location at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Running for
eight days, from 29 September – 6 October 2012, the show is expected to deliver
record deals and bargain offers on more than 30,000 of the latest gadgets and
cutting-edge products.
Visitors
to this year’s show will be delighted with the central location of the show,
which enjoys a dedicated Metro station just steps away from the show and
additional trains put on for the duration of the event. Ample parking, a
smorgasbord of food and beverage outlets and a range of interactive and
entertaining activities will add to the festival atmosphere at this year’s
GITEX Shopper.

Technology
turns greener every year and this year’s show includes initiatives by the Dubai
Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to showcase its “Do Good to Planet
Earth” campaign, encouraging visitors to actively seek out eco-friendly
advances in all consumer electronic technologies.

GITEX
Shopper 2012 will take place from 29 September – 6 October 2012. The show is
open from 11:00am – 10:00pm from Saturday 29 September to Wednesday 3 October;
from 11am – 11pm on Thursday 4 October to Saturday 6 October. For the first
time ever, the event will open for longer hours on Fridays from 11:00am.

are priced at AED 30 per person and are available at the venue and online
through Time
Out Tickets, Ticketingco, EPPCO and ENOC petrol stations and Zoom
convenience stores. Entry is free for children under the age of five.
