A reflection of colourful positive energy lit up the
atmosphere at “Between Heaven and Earth”, the first art exhibition by the
Lebanese artist Fady Habib known as “Faddic”. The exhibition’s grand opening
took place at Galatea Art Gallery in Dubai Marina yesterday, in presence of VIP
guests, art connoisseurs from the UAE and the region as well as media
representatives.
“Between Heaven & Earth” is a visual expression, in the shape of
angels, fairies and unicorns, which reflects the Light & Love that is all
around us and inside us, in different forms and colours.
“The
message emanating from this exhibition is to be more attentive to the grace
around us and to open
our arms to receive it in all its shapes and forms” said Fady Habib. “This
exhibition is dedicated to my beloved daughter, whose name is by the way -
Angel” he added.
The various artworks reflect the concept of oneness
which Faddic calls the “Untitlism”. A style which creates a mix between various cultures, beliefs, techniques,
feelings and expressions. It manages to do so by combining the old with the
new, the East with the West, yet, in a very balanced way. The outcome is the
creation of “mature and complete art”.
The exhibition consists of thirty six acrylic paintings on canvas,
translating the metaphysical world between heaven and earth. A collection of
Angels, Fairies, Unicorns, Mermaids & the Human race. The collection
includes three special sets. Firstly, “Inclusive Healing”, a set of seven
paintings of Angels. Secondly, “Uni-Land”, a set of four paintings of Unicorns
and finally, “Emotional Rescue” a set of seven paintings of Humans, using a
wide range of colours including special gold, silver, bronze & metallic
blue.

“Between Heaven & Earth” also presents eighteen photographs of
birds, skies, light, landscape and humans in addition to a collection of nine
sketches of Angels & Fairies divided in three different sets titled:
“Hidden Light”, “Unconditional Love” and “Here to Stay”.
The exhibition is running from Sunday 09th September
until Thursday 27th September 2012 from 2pm to 10pm.
