Deira City Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Centre celebrate ‘Eid in Dubai’ with one week of family fun

Majid Al Futtaim Properties’ three flagship malls in Dubai: Deira City Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Centre are embracing Eid al Fitr with a family-friendly mix of children’s edu-tainment and traditional dance performances celebrating the Arab World. The festivities will last for one week with a daily program of entertainment rotating across the three malls, ensuring that the community spirit of ‘Eid in Dubai’ is shared amongst family and friends across the city.
“Eid marks a time of festivity, and Deira City Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Centre are inviting residents and tourists to enjoy a unique program of cultural and family-themed entertainment,” said Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Senior Director – Property Management
for Majid Al Futtaim Properties. “With a week of Eid celebrations and more than 1,395 combined shopping and international dining options, we expect a positive boost in activity as people start to shop for gifts and create memorable experiences in our malls.”    
For the first time in the UAE, the popular MTV Show ‘Crazy Lab’ will be coming live on stage at Deira City Centre and Mirdif City Centre teaching kids how fun science can be. Based on the hit family show in Lebanon, ‘Crazy Lab’ is an edu-tainment show featuring curious scientists putting on chemical tests, do-it-yourself experiments and lots of laughter and fun with ping pong ball explosions, liquid nitrogen clouds and soap on fire displays. Families have the opportunity to catch one of multiple shows per day at Deira City Centre on August 10thand 12that 6:15pm, 7:40pm and 9:00pm and also at Mirdif City Centre on August 9th, 11th, 13thand 15that 6:15pm, 7:40pm and 9:00pm*.
This Eid, the malls will also be paying tribute to the diversity of traditions and cultures within the Arab World. Deira City Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Centre will be hosting a series of Arabic folklore dance performances; featuring the magical storytelling of  King Shahrayar and Queen Shahrazad – famed for One Thousand and One Nights. With live musicians, dancers and colourful costumes celebrating Arab nations, each story will unfold the traditions of an Arab country followed by a magical folklore dance. Each performance is 15 minutes, and will celebrate the rich heritage of the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman, Palestine, Jordan, Morocco and Syria. Visitors will have many chances to catch these performances at Deira City Centre on August 9th, 11th, 13thand 15thwith three shows at: 6:15pm, 7:40pm and 9:00pm, Mall of the Emirates on August 9th, 10thand 11that 6:30pm, 9:00pm and 10:00pm and at Mirdif City Centre on August 10th, 12thand 14that 6:15pm, 7:40pm and 9:00pm*.
Mall of the Emirates will also be showcasing the exclusive ‘Circus Eloize’ show, a fusion of theatrical circus with urban dance. Hosted in the Central Galleria, shoppers will be amazed as acrobats, break dancers and contortionists perform daring stunts against a unique trampoline-wall. Visitors can watch three 20-minute, high adrenaline shows daily starting the first day of Eid, until August 13that 4:30pm, 5:30pm and 7:30pm. 
Shoppers in the gift-giving spirit this Eid can take advantage of an exclusive Gift Card promotion from August 1st-15th, which rewards buyers with the chance to win prizes worth AED 10,000 in total. With every minimum AED 500 Gift Card purchase from Deira City Centre, Mall of the Emirates or Mirdif City Centre – and valid at any Majid Al Futtaim Properties shopping mall, purchasers can enter into a draw to win additional shopping spree prizes this Eid.
During Eid, the malls will be operating extended shopping hours to 1:00am every day, with some restaurants and cafes open to 3:00am.
* Note: Dates and timings are subject to change, and assume Eid al Fitr starts on August 9th. If Eid falls on August 8th, all dates are moved up by one day.
