NBAD Exclusive ATM Provider at Formula 1 Venue

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), the Number One Bank in the UAE and the Official Bank of 2012 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX, will offer ATM Services to F1™ race-goers through its 24 ATMs at Yas Marina Circuit, the only bank authorised to do at the arena.

Moreover, NBAD ATMs are spread throughout the Island and throughout hotels, Ferrari Park and Permanent Activities Tent.

 “We are pleased that NBAD continues to be the exclusive provider of ATM services at this most anticipated event in Abu Dhabi’s calendar,” says Ahmed Al-Naqbi, the Head of Direct Banking and E-Development at NBAD. “NBAD offers one of the most extensive ATM networks in the country and being the exclusive bank to provide ATMs at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix confirms our identity as the strongest bank in the country.”

Recently, NBAD has renewed its sponsorship commitment to Yas Marina Circuit as Founding Partner of the state-of-the-art Circuit for three years.

NBAD has 11 of its ATMs inside kiosks designed in the shape of One NBAD Tower, the Bank’s head office in Abu Dhabi and a city landmark. This would allow people in the Yas Marina Circuit to easily identify and locate an ATM.

“We designed the new ATMs in the shape of our head office to enhance the aesthetics in Yas Island and to reflect our forward-looking and technology-driven culture,” Mr. Al-Naqbi says.

NBAD operates about 560 ATMs across the UAE. Last year, NBAD inaugurated the region’s first solar powered ATM, which runs off a battery charged by solar panels.

NBAD ATMs on Yas Island provide easy access for race-goers as well as residents and visitors of Yas Island to perform a variety of transactions such as cash withdrawal, payment of bills, credit card payment, money transfer, balance enquiry, request for statement and chequebook, and the mobile money payment service Arrow.

This is the fourth year in a row that Formula 1™ returns to Abu Dhabi and also the fourth time that NBAD is the Official Bank of this most anticipated event in the international sporting calendar.

NBAD is also Official Founding Partner of the state-of-the-art Yas Marina Circuit (YMC), which is rated the best racing circuit in the world.

As the Official Bank of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, NBAD is engaged in organising the activities for F1. Every year the NBAD Display Site, located in the F1 Village also known as Main Oasis, offers a host of activities to entertain guests from around the world. In addition, NBAD is bringing Titan the Robot to Abu Dhabi to add to the festive mood on YMC.
