Global Village to Extend its 18th
Season until 12th April, 2014 – The Longest Extension in its History
· The extension will see the Dubai Food Festival celebrations at Global Village be extended until the 15th March
· Global Village announces Global Barbeque Fiesta on 7th of March as part of Dubai Food Festival with live performances by leading Bollywood sensation Nikhil D’souza and local bands and acts
· Global Village will be using the March extension period to promote local talents within UAE by schools and local community acts
Global
Village, Dubai’s leading family entertainment and cultural destination, has announced
the extension of its 18th season of operation. The extension is due
to the great success the 18th season has had and will allow for
visitors to carry on enjoying all the great Global Village pavilions and its
Fantasy Island rides, brought to the Middle East for the first time ever by
Mellors’ Group, until the 12th April, 2014.
The
extension this season will be by 42 days and will be the longest extension in
Global Village’s history. Thanks to this extension, visitors will be able to experience
the celebrations around the Dubai Food Festival until it finishes on the 15th
March.

Global
Village will also be hosting the Global Barbeque Festival on the 7th
of March as part of Dubai Food Festival Celebrations with a carnival theme
where families can enjoy tastes from across the world, along with a live
performance from Bollywood’s latest singing sensation, Nikhil D’Souza. Others
live shows will include talented performers from the UAE.

There
will be lots of fun and entertainment for visitors to enjoy with all the family
like the Musical Fountain and all the fantastic cultural shows, and new stunt
shows. Visitors will also have more time to treat themselves to the great
shopping culture that is prevalent around Global Village. Wander around one of
the 30 pavilions selling authentic handicrafts, sweets, nuts and spices, all
from their own country.

With
the cool weather and the upcoming local and regional school holidays, families
can take the Global Villages extension as a means of coming together and enjoying
the season for longer, and with all the great announcements of the
entertainment and activities that will be taking place visitors will definitely
want to spend their weekends enjoying the Global Village atmosphere.
