“More than a sporting
stadium” –
The State of the art
stadium Showcases Facilities at ADNEC
Al
Ain’s spectacular Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium is taking part in one the GCC’s most
influential business, travel and incentive expos to show its potential as one the
region’s leading hospitality and entertainment venues.
With
a presence at the Gulf Incentive, Business, Travel and Meetings Expo (GIBTM) at
the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the stadium will present an exciting
new corporate and entertainment option to the event organisers, destination
managers, live events agencies and venue finding businesses that visit the show.
The
stadium offers a unique setting for events as a multi-feature platform for a
broad range of functions from corporate events to social functions.
Opened
in January 2014, the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium is one of the most advanced
sporting arenas of its kind in the entire Middle East. Its world class design
makes the stadium a state-of-the-art alternative to many of the GCC’s
traditional corporate destinations, with highly exclusive facilities across 10
corporate boxes in addition to three luxury suites with a total capacity of up
to 700 people characterized by the highest standards of hospitality and
facilities.
“We
have a brand new venue that has the very latest features to cater for every
kind of hospitality,” said Waleed Al Hosani, Business Development Manager at Al
Ain Club Investment Company, ” The
stadium offers the ideal and ultimate setting for events as an inspiring,
multi-feature platform for a broad range of functions. The layout of the
suites, the design of the lounges and the ambience and atmosphere in addition
to the modern audio-visual equipments and facilities can suit almost any
function from business conferences and corporate meetings to evening gatherings
and galas. The stadium in itself is a magnificent setting and we fully expect
to cater to corporate and commercial events throughout the year.”
With a number of first-time
exhibitors attending from Spain, the United States, Thailand, Turkey, Czech
Republic, Korea, United Kingdom, Uganda, South Africa and Morocco, the expo
includes workshops and speaking sessions and attracts nearly 2,400 visitors.
Al
Hosani added: “GIBTM is the most successful MICE (Meetings, Incentives,
Conventions and Exhibitions) show in the Middle East and the UAE is constantly
reinforcing its position as the lynchpin of the region’s meeting places. Our
aim is to be at the heart of that and we have the resources and the expertise to
do it.”
The
stadium is strategically located at the Tawya area of Al Ain, is easily
accessible for visitors coming from Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and only 15 minutes
from Al Ain airport, which endorse the objective of becoming a central
destination for citizens and residents in the United Arab Emirates, as well as
a landmark for tourists visiting from all over the world.
After years of planning, but just a record seventeen
months of construction, the new home of Al Ain Football Club is 50 metres high,
making it one of the tallest structures in Al Ain.
The
Hazza Bin Stadium forms the focal point of an inspirational mixed-use
development which will attract a host of national and international visitors in
its own right. The development combines a serene setting for work, family,
leisure, shopping, sports and dining, with more than 700 residential units, “Aloft”
hotel with 172 rooms, two office buildings covering 20,000 square metres and 50
commercial units available for restaurants and retail outlets. A network of
pedestrianised walkways will also make the area totally safe and family
friendly.
