@DubaiCreekGolf @parkhyattdubai Creek Clean-up with Dubai Golf and Park Hyatt Dubai Environmental Initiative Part of Preparations for 2013 Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show Dubai – 21 November 2013: Following a successful community clean-up campaign earlier this year, which saw Dubai Golf teaming up with Park Hyatt Dubai to gather rubbish from the banks of the historic Dubai Creek, the two companies have participated in another joint clean-up campaign. The event was part of the preparations for the Dubai Pre-owned Boat Show 2013 which takes place from 21st – 23rd November, during the clean up 149 volunteers collected over 100 bags of rubbish from the banks of the Creek. Mustafa Al Hashimi, General Manager of Dubai Golf, said: “Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year and as a Dubai institution, we have a duty to the environment of the Emirate. We are delighted to have once again teamed up with Park Hyatt Dubai on another successful clean-up campaign. “ Adrian Slater, General Manager of Park Hyatt Dubai added, “It was fantastic to see so many volunteers from the hotel and golf club participating in this mornings clean up, hopefully our actions will help to raise awareness of the amount of litter that exists in Dubai and encourage residents to not damage the environment by throwing away trash unnecessarily.” Dubai will be celebrating 20 years of participating in the Clean Up the World Campaign with the theme “Our Place… Our Planet… Our Responsibility” under the parent organization “Clean up the World Australia” and supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
