Gloria Hotels announced their participation on UAE Green Festival. This initiative is a series of activities that will take place across UAE the following year urging residents and businesses to Think Green. The UAE Green Festival will be held for one month from March 16 to April 16, 2014.

Maren Kuhl Blood Donation

Being awarded with a certificate of recognition from the EEG  and ranked among the top 10 Green hotels in Dubai, Gloria Hotel & Resort are participating in UAE Green Festival next year. The countrywide celebration is specifically designed to educate people across the seven emirates, about a new way of life that is achievable in an easy way.

The aim of this festival is to unveil UAE’s sustainable identity, as a leading green destination, that provides its residents and visitors a better quality of life. It will also provide government bodies and private entities, with a platform for knowledge exchange and discussion of issues related to sustainable development.

This festival is the first one held across UAE for green awareness and we will do our best to support their efforts. After all a green and safe planet, is for the best interest for everyone.” said Mr. Freddy Farid the Area General Manager of Gloria Hotel and Yassat Gloria Hotel Apartments.

Gloria Hotels took this initiative very warmly and not only they will gladly participate, but they launched the “Gloria Green Program”, working in cooperation with the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG). Gloria Hotels have significantly improved the environmental awareness of their employees and their guests.

Following their vision and efforts for a better tomorrow, Yassat Gloria Hotel Apartments organized, in collaboration with Dubai Blood Donation Centre, a blood donation at the Yassat Gloria Hotel Apartments. The Dubai Blood Donation Centre is located in Al Wasl Hospital, which is the central blood bank of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). This is the provider of blood and blood products for transfusion to all DHA hospitals, Thalassemia Centre, Trauma centre and several other private hospitals.

The first one to donate blood amongst 50 employees and management was Ms Maren Kuhl, the new Hotel Manager of Yassat Gloria Hotel Apartments, who said “Donating blood may be vital to someone’s life. Here at Yassat Gloria Hotel Apartments we believe that by contributing actively to social and environmental activities, we demonstrate our commitment to the community and we will continue doing so in the future.”
