Gold’s Gym UAE actively supported the 2013 Dubai Women’s Run organized by the UAE Athletic Federation on November 8 held at the Meydan Race Course. The 5K and 10K Run gathered more than 5000 women runners, out of which Zsofia Erdelyi of Hungary emerged winner, completing the 10K Run in 33 minutes, 15 seconds and Elena Korobkina of Russia was announced winner, finishing the 5K Run in 16 minutes, 12 seconds. Gold’s Gym UAE also rewarded a one-year membership to the last runner Majida Ghlaleb Masri of Jordan who finished the 10K Run in one hour and 40 minutes.

The winners in the 5K/10K Run walked away with prize money of AED10, 000 each along with trophies. Gold’s Gym provided warm up sessions to all participants before the Run by performing their most popular GGX (Gold’s Group Exercises). The Gold’s Gym team also performed numerous exercises like Body Jam, Rumba Belly Dance and Body Combat for the audience and various hosted activities for children as well on this occasion.
Chief of Operations, GG UAE, Nitesh Seebran was one among the many speakers who expressed his excitement and thoughts at the Dubai Women’s Run press conference held at Gloria Hotel, Dubai Media City. He said, “The initiative taken is a remarkable one that in itself is a tribute to womenfolk in the region. This is the first time we are supporting the Dubai Women’s Run and given the opportunity, we will be glad to extend our continuous support to the initiative in the years to come.
