this year witnessed fantastic levels of competition from highly skilled birds
and falconers. This year to make it a more level playing field than in previous
years, we decided to introduce two categories under the Nokhbah Championship
which allowed younger and older falcons to compete in separate events.. We
would like to congratulate the winners of the Championships and wish them all
the best for the future.”
Dumaithan
bin Swaidan added: “The Nokbah Championships were true to their title of being
‘Elite’. The cream of the contestants at the Championships competed for ultimate
glory in good weather conditions.
Superior organisation, transparency in timekeeping and the use of modern
equipment have all contributed to making the Championships one of the most
successful in the UAE and we hope to see this continue in the future.”
The Fazza Championship for Falconry
was held over a 20-day period in Ruwayyah and culminated in the Nokhbah
Championship. The event attracted hundreds of falconers from the Emirates and
across the region who competed in a wide range of different categories helping
