Eagerly Awaited Re-Launch for Popular Creek-Side Restaurant
Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club have announced the re-opening of the iconic Boardwalk restaurant, located at the Dubai Creek Marina, following an extensive refurbishment which includes a striking fresh seafood display reminiscent of a Mediterranean market.
Nestled on the shores of the idyllic Dubai Creek, Boardwalk has been a popular Dubai institution since its opening 20 years ago and its anniversary re-launch sees a brand new marina inspired interior featuring themed cool blues and whites. In addition, the popular terrace, offering spectacular views across the Creek, has been updated and now plays host to the restaurant’s bar.
“The outdoor terrace, which offers a unique opportunity for guests to dine on a deck overlooking the creek, has continued to enjoy high visitor numbers during the cooler months, due to the picturesque setting and wholesome dishes which Boardwalk is famous for”, explained Max Grenard, Culinary Director of Dubai Golf. “With the opening of our revamped interior, coupled with the fantastic additions to the menu, we are looking forward to welcoming both returning and new guests to try the new and improved Boardwalk.”
Boardwalk features an updated Mediterranean inspired menu, where guests can enjoy freshly baked pizzas and calzone from the authentic new oven, as well as an extensive fresh fish and seafood selection prepared to order. In addition the new menu features specialities including Bouillabaisse and the Seafood platter as well as a selection of home-made pasta dishes. A selection of the Boardwalk favourites’ loved by guests will also be available including the famous Boardwalk Fish & Chips. For dessert, guests can indulge in a range of ice creams, sorbets, crêpes, waffles and pastries.
The restaurant will be headed up by a new addition to the Dubai Golf family, Chef de Cuisine, Stefano Andreoni. Chef Stefano has been active in the hospitality and food industry for the last 25 years, including time as a fisherman and mariner, restaurant management positions in Italy and Spain, working for his family’s business and co-owning his own restaurant in his home country. Experiences making him well adapted to spearhead the re-launch of Boardwalk.
In addition to the main restaurant, guests looking for a dining experience with a difference can climb on-board one of Boardwalk’s BBQ Donuts moored on the Creek and enjoy dishes from the a la carte menu or grill their own on the Donut’s special BBQ, while enjoying the spectacular skyline of Dubai. BBQ Donuts are operational from 12pm – 9pm and advance bookings are recommended.
Boardwalk is open for Lunch and Dinner every day and for breakfast on weekends and is ideal for families, couples, groups of friends or even a business lunch.
