Lebanese Superstar set to perform in Abu Dhabi
Lebanese superstar and ‘Arab Idol’ head of juries Ragheb Alama will be live in concert at Abu Dhabi’s FGB Arena at Zayed Sport City on Friday February 28th.
Ragheb, one of the Arab world’s most commercially successful singers, will awe fans with hit songs like ‘Ya bint El Sultan’, “Albi Aeshkha”, ‘Allamteeni’ and other favorites.
The concert is presented by the UAE capital’s World Trade Center Mall in partnership with Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi), and is the first in an ‘Arabian Sensations’ concert series  featuring prominent Arabic artists produced by AUH Live in the UAE capital.
Ragheb Alama became a household name in the Arab world following the release of his debut single ‘Bukra Byebrom Dulabak’ in the 1980s. He has won two Murex d’Or Awards along with countless other awards during his career. Produced by his own company Backstage Production, Ragheb Alama released Baa’sha’ak In May 2008. In April 2009 the Album received platinum certification by Virgin Megastores Dubai for its record sales. The album included the hits ‘Yighib’ and ‘Ser Hobbi.’
The artist has also received the UNEP Goodwill Ambassador Title for the Arab Region in June 2013. He has been playing a humanitarian role and continues supporting UNEP’s activities and the NGOs, handling the climate change issues as well as other activities he has carried out over the last year in schools, universities, and the Lebanese parliament.
The concert will take place in Abu Dhabi’s newest multi-functional indoor arena - FGB Arena at Zayed Sports City, with reserved seating for 3,500 fans.
The concert on Friday February 28thwill also feature a special guest performer, who will be announced next week.
