Safar grants Umrah wish through Make-a-Wish Foundation in Abu Dhabi @MakeAWish_UAE

Safar Travel & Tourism grands Umrah wish to Emirati Miss Mera Al Blooshi

With the community in mind first, Safar Travel & Tourism, the travel arm of Al Fahim Group, collaborated with Make-a-Wish Foundation UAE to sponsor Miss Mera Mohammed Al Blooshi, an Emirati Thalassemia patient, sending her to a much-awaited four-day Umrah in Mecca, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), with her mother, heruncle and his wife.
Make-a-Wish Foundation has enriched lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities. Currently, the UAE has an estimate of 1,200 children (aged from three to eighteen years).
Recently turning eighteen, Miss Mera was eager to perform Umrah for the religious and spiritual experience. With her mother and uncle as her guardians, she travelled to Mecca and Madina in KSA for the first time in her life.
“Thank you very much for this opportunity and for making my wish come true , I really did enjoy my days there,” praised Miss Mera.
Having started her first year at the Higher Colleges of Technology in September, she returned from her life-altering trip and will be starting her second semester at the Faculty of Business Administration.
Happy to have played an important role in achieving a girl’s dream, Mr. Mohammed Abdulla Al Fahim added, “My grandfather the late Abdul Jalil Mohamad Al Fahim had high regard for community activities which spread compassion and promote a culture of giving. Carrying his legacy forward, as part of Safar’s corporate social responsibility, we are proud to be a part of this grant. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mera for giving Safar this opportunity.”
Mr. Hani Alzubaidi, CEO of Make-a-Wish Foundation UAE, expressed his thanks and gratitude to Safar Travel & Tourism for their collaboration with the foundation to grant Mera's wish to go and perform Umrah. “We pray to Allah to accept her Umrah and gift her with recovery,” Mr. Hani added also highlighting the role and commitment of Al Fahim Group’s travel arm towards society.
