CEDARS Jebel Ali International Hospital, the full-fledged multi-specialty hospital located in Jebel Ali, launched today its annual school painting competition open to all students in the UAE.
Running for the 3rd year, the competition’s aim is to discover and promote artistic inclinations of children in the UAE with three themes to choose from: “Family and Friends”, “Nature and Animals” and “Dubai and the UAE”. With lots of prizes offered from the eight associated sponsors, this competition is open to all schools across the UAE for students between 6 and 10 years old.“We are very excited to re launch the School Painting Competition again this year. It was a great success in the past, receiving more then 80 entries from different schools and seeing all the great artwork”, said Anne-Susann Becker, Executive Board Member at CEDARS – Jebel Ali International Hospital. “We owe it to our community that we are part of, to encourage young students to uncover their creative skills and engage with other students to share their stories through drawing and paintings”.
The Hospital will celebrate the competition on November 14th, with an awarding ceremony to announce the final winners and give them their valuable prizes.
All the winning entries will be displayed at a permanent art exhibition at the hospital.
In 2011, the first prize was awarded to Anubhav Rathore from Delhi Private School. The seven-year-old student convinced the jury with a colorful picture, which beautifully depicts nature using different kinds of material.
