Sundance Live takes us down memory lane with a line up of 80s and 90s performances

Boney M, Dr. Alban, Vengaboys, SNAP! and N-Trance to perform at the next edition of MiXTAPE Rewind. After a successful launch in November 2012, Sundance LIVE announces the return of retro fun with a new line up of celebrated artists from the 80s and 90s. Taking place on 17th January 2014 at the Emirates Golf Club, MiXTAPE Rewind promises yet another nostalgic night to remember.

“MiXTAPE Rewind is a feel good concert; it’s all about reminiscing and having a good time. No fluff just a good a time. This season we wanted to make sure the lineup represents a diverse style of music and artists of the two decades. MiXTAPE Rewind’s focus is tapping into great memories and creating experience to remember”, said Mario Zakhary, Managing Director, Sundance LIVE.
With over 5,000 fans, the debut concert brought back classic 90’s artists including No Mercy, Jenny from Ace of Base, Haddaway, Culture Beat, La Bouche, Go West and SNAP!, who will return for this season. Sundance LIVE is planning to inject a little bit of the 80’s into the mix in the next edition of MiXTAPE Rewind. “There is something very special about the music from these two decades ago. It embodies pure fun. Having grown up in the 80’s and 90’s myself, I like the back-to-retro direction of new music, car designs, fashion and art in general. I’m excited to bring the 90’s and 80’s back into the spotlight for our regional fans”, added Mario Zakhary.
Retro fans can look forward to regular MiXTAPE Rewind events in the future. “We believe that MiXTAPE Rewind has the potential to be one of the most prominent performances on the events calendar. We’re working hard to make sure that annual editions continue to offer fans the ultimate 90’s and 80’s music experience”, said Zakhary.
