In an initiative to support SME’s and Emirati entrepreneurs funded by The Khalifa Fund and other UAE based funds, Hey Sugar has entered a strategic partnership with homegrown Emirati chocolate brand, Coco Jalila by Jalila Chocolates, to introduce a whole range of fine, artisanal, Italian Chocolates to the UAE market.
“We are proud to be a 100% UAE developed brand and are happy to have the opportunity to support local brands and entrepreneurial initiatives such as those under the Khalifa Fund, said Dana Z. Jallad, co-owner of Hey Sugar Bakeshop. “We are very excited and look forward to stocking and selling the Coco Jalila products in all of our 13 and soon to be 16 locations across the UAE, “ she added.
“We truly appreciate the support that is being extended by such a well established home grown brand, and Hey Sugar’s commitment to giving back to the community by assisting local entrepreneurs. The partnership is a great example of two UAE grown brands coming together to show their love and passion for the UAE, and all things sweet and delicious!,” said a Coco Jalila spokesperson.
The new range of chocolates is due to hit Hey Sugar’s Village Mall flagship store on June 20, with a variety that includes indulgent flavors, including Gianduja, Praline, Candied Orange, Espresso and Arabica coffee flavors.
In addition to the chocolates, Hey Sugar’s chefs have created a mouthwatering array of cupcakes and desserts based on the signature chocolate flavors from Coco Jalila, including praline, hazelnut and gianduja.  One of the current favorites is part of the new Surprise Me cupcakes line, filled with Coco Jalila’s sumptuous coco chocolate spreads – a sure hit with any real choco-holic!
