@AbuDhabiMedia @dubaisportstv @DMI Gulf Pro League to broadcast across ADM and DMI sports channels

-      ADM and DMI to provide two matches per week exclusively through Abu Dhabi TV Network -

Abu Dhabi Media, one of the fastest growing, multi-platform media and entertainment organizations in the Middle East, today announced that Abu Dhabi Sports and Dubai Sports channels will be broadcasting the Arabian Gulf Pro League’s matches starting September 14th, with two matches per week to broadcast through the Abu Dhabi TV Network, which will carry the encrypted AGPL channels of Abu Dhabi Media (ADM) and Dubai Media incorporated (DMI).
Commissioned by the Pro-League Committee (PLC), the encryption agreement reflects the League’s development over the past six years, further aligning its broadcast with international standards of professional leagues. It will also enable ADM and DMI to continue providing football fans with quality content through various traditional and digital platforms.
The Arabian Gulf Pro-League, formerly known as the UAE Pro-League, will see 14 clubs competing with each other throughout the season.
The new partnership means ADM and DMI will provide local and international viewers with live coverage of free-to-air matches across their sports channels. In line with PLC’s strategy to promote the League, the partnership will also enable the Abu Dhabi TV Network to carry both ADM and DMI’s encrypted AGPL channels; in turn providing fans with two exclusive weekly matches broadcast in High Definition and Dolby Digital surround sound for the first time in the region. This arrangement will allow viewers to enjoy exclusive game analysis from the studio and reports from leading on-the-ground correspondents, creating a world-class sports viewing experience.
Abu Dhabi Sports channels will cover all PLC competitions, including Arabian Gulf Pro-League, Reserve League, League Cup and Arabian Gulf Super Cup, for three consecutive seasons starting September 2013. The extensive, in-depth coverage provided by ADM also reaffirms its commitment to supporting the young generation, the sports community and the football clubs in the UAE.
Following the exclusive broadcast agreement with the PLC, Abu Dhabi Media has also announced the new Pay-TV packages on Abu Dhabi TV Network for the 2013-2014 season, with special offers for both new and existing subscribers.
New subscribers joining the Abu Dhabi TV Network will receive a free one-year subscription with the decoder box. Existing subscribers will receive free viewing of the AGPL until the end of the 2013-2014seasons.
In addition to the Arabian Gulf Pro-League, subscribers to the Abu Dhabi TV Network will have access to 19 channels in High Definition technology, including Abu Dhabi Sports HD, Abu Dhabi Sports PPV, Star World HD, Star Movies HD, Nat Geo HD, Nat Geo Adventure HD, and Nat Geo Wild HD, along with a line-up of other regional HD entertainment and news channels.

Additional information on subscribing to Abu Dhabi Media’s Pay-TV packages is available on 800 2388 UAE residents, +966 12 6078900 for KSA residents and +971 600 520 025 for international callers.
