@futurekids4 New children’s learning centre pioneers whole brain training in the UAE

Training method that will enhance your child’s emotional and intellectual development

The Future Kids Accelerated Learning Centre offers a new approach to parenting, pioneering the idea of whole brain training in the UAE. This technique, an accelerated learning process for children in their early years follows the Shichida Method, a teaching practice based on over 30 years of research into child behaviour.

Research and leading academics agree that the early years of a child's life (defined as the six month old to six year old age group) is a critical time period to enhance the emotional and intellectual IQ of a child. 80% of a child's brain is developed by the age of six years old, and offering heightened stimulation and specifically, right brain training during this period will help a child use a higher proportion of their brain during their lifetime.

Future Kids Accelerated Learning Centre, based in Knowledge Village, offers whole brain training using a right brain education approach, designed to maximize a child’s potential during this key period of development. Classes help children learn to focus, gain confidence and involve themselves in a learning process whilst enjoying a fun-filled and stimulating environment at the same time. Classes develop skills like speed reading, instant recall, photographic memory, an enquiring mind and an overall love of learning.

Whilst focus is on the right brain, Future Kids’ programmes also nurture the left brain and strengthen its connection to the right. Generally speaking, the right brain memorizes and processes data whilst the left brain expresses, verbalises, and identifies. Future Kids’ programmes incorporate early childhood activities such as critical thinking, image training, flashcards and baby sign - which can encourage communication as young as seven months of age - that link the right brain's abilities with the left's. This link is known as 'pole-bridging' and ultimately contributes to increasing one’s overall potential.

Right brain training in the early years of a child’s life is practiced across the world but until now was unavailable in the UAE. Director Samantha Malkoun says, ‘Educating children at the earliest possible stage is our focus, nurturing and drawing out the ability that may otherwise lie dormant.’

Future Kids Accelerated Learning Centre’s first term will start on 20th October 2013 in Knowledge Village, Dubai. Further centres in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are set to open soon.
