With the PreFall14 Collection Bound to Take You on a Far-Away Journey Through Greece

Azure waters. Ruins bleached by time. Sun-dappled olive groves. Welcome to Greece, birthplace of democracy and the destination for Clover Canyon, Pre-Fall 2014. The signature Clover Canyon engineered prints conjure the landscape and architecture of Athens and the Cyclades, and pay homage to the world-making intellectual heritage of Hellas.
Mixing painted and photographic print, the collection takes all of the great Greek patrimony in its purview—the columns of the Parthenon, the marble statues of regal gods and goddesses, the philosophy of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle. The ideas may be weighty but the mood here is easy, with summery slip dresses and sarong-tied looks, and transitional pieces like a landscape print baseball jacket in chiffon. Sunray and gladiator pleats are a recurring theme. There’s an emphasis on the graphic. This season, Clover Canyon steps into history, and makes it a lighthearted story for today.
