Today marks the debut of The Travel Marketing Council’s (TTMC) Middle East chapter, a private ‘by invitation’ members forum for the travel industry. This unique, progressive and dynamic platform aims to empower and inspire business leaders and travel professionals across the world through thought leadership and collective intelligence. Launching in the Middle East with plans for future expansion across India, Asia, Africa and China, TTMC aims to focus on prevalent topics and current industry news.
TTMC will be a catalyst for change, enabling business leaders and industry professionals to augment their authority and drive innovation through deep and meaningful dialogue to be shared amongst their peers. This independent and innovative forum will provide exciting networking opportunities, forefront industry events such as frequent round table sessions and an annual summit; as well as an online community. TTMC also plans to introduce a media neutral awards and recognition platform that is driven by the travel industry, for the travel industry to recognise service excellence and innovation.
“In the fast paced travel industry this international forum will advocate seamless connectivity by bringing the leading voices of minds to share intelligence with professionals lacking time to decipher the large volumes of industry content” said Gaurav Sinha, the Founder & CEO of Insignia, who is also the driving force behind this initiative.
TTMC aims to reduce complexities by analyzing market trends and provide knowledge that is relevant and succinct for varied markets and segments, including travel, tourism, hospitality, aviation and destination marketing sectors. In addition to this, TTMC aims to engage and collaborate with leading academic institutions to garner expert opinions and insights, elevating the forum’s caliber of content through regular briefings and reports. Members will benefit from quality content and intelligence, delivered through weekly e-news updates, monthly e-newsletters, quarterly TTMC briefings and commissioned research.
TTMC will provide a multi-tiered exclusive membership program, including corporate membership packages, individual membership and an affiliate membership program. The forum’s Executive Committee will consist of futurologists and industry-renowned professionals to steer the strategic relevance of TTMC in relevant markets. The second tier offers opportunities for both Corporate and Executive Memberships seeking enhanced intelligence, industry news and regular networking events that provide a broader perspective on industry trends. Corporate Memberships will also pave the way for valuable partnership opportunities for organizations that aim to deepen their footprint in the region. The third tier is an Affiliate Membership program for young graduates who are passionate about travel & tourism and keen to access a world of opportunities for career progression through TTMC’s quality content platform and exposure to a relevant network.
Cedric Scherer, Managing Partner at The ScherWick Group and Director of Strategy for TTMC adds, “I have always been frustrated by fragmented statistical data and limited insights about the regional market as a whole, so I am looking forward to putting my skills to the service of my peers. TTMC’s mission and accessibility is increasingly relevant to today’s generation with the predominance of ‘Big Data’ distracting us from our daily business goals.’
