Businesses are being given
the chance to learn how to benefit from the millions of dirhams being generated
by the Dubai events industry.
In
the past 12 months the city has played host to a full range of events – from
huge pop music concerts to international football matches and food festivals.
Last
weekend Atlantis, The Palm, hosted its most successful ever Sandance all-day
live music event which secured record breaking ticket sales and generated more
than AED6 million.
Now
local businesses can take a masterclass in how to attract some of this revenue
at the Middle East EVENT Show in Dubai from May 21-23.

The
Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE) will help lead the way on the
subject with a presentation on the events industry.
They
will be joined by other experts throughout the three days of seminars,
workshops and discussion groups.
Speakers
include Safwan El Roufi, Managing Director at Prisme International, who will be
talking about how to overcome the challenges of putting on large scale events.
The
Middle East EVENT Show is being held at the Dubai International Convention and
Exhibition Centre with visitor registration free of charge.
In
addition to learning more about the events industry, visitors can take a look
back at the region’s best events of 2012 at EVENT Central – brought to you by
Desert River - where those in contention for the Middle East EVENT Awards will
be showcasing what made the events so successful.
"This
year, the Middle East EVENT Show offers more than any other year," said
Richard Brook from Informa Exhibitions, the event organisers.
"Those
attending the seminars will be able to hear some of the industry's most
influential people sharing their knowledge and experience. The broad range of
subjects being covered means there will be something for everyone.

The
Middle East EVENT Awards 2013 takes place on the night of May 22nd
and the show itself is from May 21st to 23rd.
