Solving the mystery of ‘local’ vs ‘global’ standards:
ADU’s world ranking proves students can enjoy the best of
both worlds
One big mystery when it
comes to choosing a university is why many people automatically assume that
“global” standards and “local” standards mean two different things.
While there is sometimes a
tendency to assume that “global” standards are superior to “local” standards, the
prestigious QS ranking begs to differ - after ranking Abu Dhabi University
among the elite of the very best institutions in the world.
But that’s only half the
story. A closer examination of the other institutions on the list reveals that
some have been in existence for centuries. ADU is the youngest and its 10 years
are a mere grain of sand in the desert of time - making its ranking even more
impressive. Yes, some students are enchanted by the rich history of such
institutions. But one thing more thrilling than reading about history is to
actually make history, and the
current ADU students know they are shaping the future one amazing day at a
time.
We are accumulating
experience with every day that passes, but our youthful enthusiasm, fun-loving
student community and endless curiosity will keep our institution “forever
young”. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, our international
accreditation process is at an advanced stage.
In the UAE, ADU was the
very first university to receive the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award for its
tireless pursuit of perfection. Students love to be unique, and ADU’s unique
programs give them qualifications that stand out in the job market - whether in
Engineering, Business or much more.
The main goal of any
student is to get a highly rewarding and exciting job, and ADU graduates are
doing exactly that - thanks to their superb reputation among employers, which
will lead to our graduates becoming the “movers and shakers” in companies that
are market heavyweights.
So whether you want
top-notch global standards or a vibrant local experience, at ADU you don’t have
to choose - just have both!
