Rose Al Obaidi, simply know as Meena Rose, is an accessories and clothing
designer of Iraqi descent. She has established an immense following of fans
across the Middle East for her contemporary style in Faux Bijoux, daring
clothing, and her infamous Gold Metal Belts. Meena quotes “I believe every
woman should feel powerful, yet feminine and sexy. My belts reflect strength
and power, but once worn with a simple black dress, they immediately become
sexy and uber feminine”
Meena
is continuously evolving as an accessories designer, and for her SS13
collection, she introduced the full torso harness in her signature gold metal,
which is worn as a neckpiece and belted around the waist.

elements of their heritage with a very modern twist. They are always on form

Fashion is a local Abaya and Jellabya brand by Emirato designer Mariam AL
Mazro. Mimi’s fashion focuses on a woman’s desire to be and feel unique and
different with what she wears. The main item in every collection is
the Jalabiya/dress, which is a combination of an elegant, long dress, and an Abaya
with modern cuts and colorful patched designs. “There is no end to my
inspiration & creativity. I aspire to realize my ultimate dream in making

is a homegrown brand communicating local ideas in unique and interesting ways.
The brand’s designer, Hessa Fulad, an E-Business Management graduate from Dubai
Women’s College, describes the F9oo9 as a creative character, where each
drawing represents the UAE identity. These drawings are printed on items such
as tshirts, mugs and notebooks, and include themes around Eid-al-Adha and Eid
al-Fitr, National Day, weddings, graduation etc.
