@AbuDhabiMedia @StarfmUAE Star FM: the first Arab radio station to participate in the International Radio Festival in Switzerland

Star FM, a radio channel under the umbrella of Abu Dhabi Media, today announced that it will be participating in the International Radio Festival, held in Switzerland from 4th to 8th of September.
The station will broadcast its daily morning programme ‘Sabaho’ live from the festival, making Star FM the first Arab station to participate in this international event and broadcast in Arabic. The annual festival hosts 26 international radio stations from several countries, including Australia; China; Germany; India; Russia; Switzerland; United Kingdom; United States, and several others.

Presented by Rania Younis and Hassan Al Sheikh, ‘Sabaho’ will broadcast live from 7am to 12pm on Thursday, and 6pm to 8pm on Friday and Saturday during the festival, with Rania in Switzerland and Hassan in UAE. Rania Younis has also been selected as the first Arab media presenter from the Middle East to join as a guest in this annual festival where she will participate in a press conference answering journalists’ questions and shedding light on the Arab media scene.

I also look forward to taking part in the press conference, as it enables us to raise awareness about our station and the Arab media scene, and respond to enquiries from international publications.”

Younis added, “the participation of ‘Sabaho’ in the festival is assurance of the major success that it has achieved in reaching Arab audience in the UAE and the region through its range of exclusive Arabic and international songs, in addition to interesting and diverse segments which address the public concerns, and provide the audience with the opportunity to connect and interact."

During the period of the festival, the Swiss Tourism Authority has arranged a tour for a tour, in which the ‘Sabaho’ crew will visit the country’s main landmarks and hold exclusive interviews with specialists from several industries, including tourism, transportation and watch making; as well as members of UNESCO.
Star FM’s  coverage during the festival will take place in two phases, the first of which is the live broadcast of ‘Sabaho’ during the tours from 1st to 4th September, followed by live broadcast from the festival from 4th to 8th September. The second phase, which extends from 8th to 11th September, will involve live coverage of the tours arrange for the media participating in the festival, which have been designed to familiarise the various stations with Switzerland and its key destinations.

Star FM is part of Abu Dhabi Radio Network, owned by Abu Dhabi Media. It targets multilingual listeners and Arab residents in the UAE between the ages of 15 and 35, who enjoy western and Arabic music. Star FM was launched as a modern station which broadcasts the latest Arab and international music, in addition to interviews with celebrities and other exclusive segments.
