THE US PGA CHAMPIONSHIP COMES TO DUBAI @MeydanEvents @qube_sportsbar

The excitement of the US PGA Championship is coming to the UAE on August 11th thanks to Meydan golf course.
The 2013 US PGA Championship brings together the world's best golfers for one of the highlights of the tour calendar at one of the most historic courses on the circuit, Oak Hill Country Club.
On the final day of the competition, The Track is giving Dubai-based golfers and opportunity to get closer to the action by linking their fate in the competition at Meydan to that of the pros in the US.
Every player in Dubai will be randomly 'paired' with a professional in the US PGA Championship. The scores from the individual stableford competition at The Track will be added to the pro's results after they have been converted to stableford points.
The three 'teams' with the highest scores will win prizes donated by Troon, Meydan and TaylorMade. Prizes will also be awarded for the longest drive and nearest the pin.
Those wanting to get a head start on the points board can do so by wearing red, white and blue for an additional two stableford points. 
The shotgun start begins at 7pm after which players will be able to catch the gripping climax of the US PGA Championship on the HD screens at Meydan's clubhouse, QUBE Sports Bar. 
"We have run a number of events like this over the past few months and they are getting more and more popular as people realise that they can have a round of golf at one of the best 9-hole venues in the world and spend time socialising with friends in a relaxed atmosphere, all for just AED150," said James Leeman, Marketing Manager at The Track.

Registration for the event is open now and strictly limited. Entries cost AED150 per person and includes refreshments on the 6th tee.
All players are eligible to enter the competition, but winners must have an EGF handicap.
