The world famous Punchline Comedy Club is back! This is your chance to see some of the most hilarious internationally successful comedians, fresh from the biggest summer comedy festivals taking place at Edinburgh, Melbourne and beyond. Punchline Comedy Club is proud to be returning to the UAE after its summer break and enthralling such a diverse and international audience. Punchline’s live performances have reached major locations including Shanghai, Bangkok, Melbourne, Singapore, Tokyo and Vietnam... and, of course, all over the GCC. It is here to stay!

Punchline Comedy Club Middle East will feature three top class witty comedians in its September line-up; John Lenahan, Simon Bligh and Fox Klein.

John Lenahan is an internationally successful comedian and magician. He started out as a street performer busking around Europe, landing in London and promptly winning the Time Out Street Magician of the Year Award in 1985. John became a regular on the circuit, playing Jongleurs and the Comedy Store, and eventually the London Palladium. His laconic American humour, combined with his mastery of the magical arts and his fast-footed wit makes John Lenahan a winner with mainstream and alternative audiences of all ages and cultures.

UK comedian Simon Bligh has been described by The Guardian as a, “Superb muscle man of comedy.” From a young age, Liverpool born Simon loved Asia, and went to live in Tokyo as an English teacher in 1980. This led to him writing a one-man show called ‘BANZAI’’, which was nominated for comedy’s top award, The Perrier Award. Simon is now one of the finest, most accomplished performers from the UK. A regular at the Comedy Store, he has performed all over the world and on top TV shows such as The Graham Norton Show and the 11 O’Clock Show to name a few. Simon also recently starred in a short film, ‘Money Trouble’, which due for general release in the UK and USA.

Australian comedian Fox Klein won the annual ‘Search for a Funny Bone’ stand up comedy competition in his first year of performing just eight years ago and hasn’t looked back since. Both headlining and supporting some of Australia’s biggest names nationally and internationally, Fox is now a regular in all the top venues back in his home country and his three solo shows have been a huge hit at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Fox’s energetic and engaging style of universal comedy has firmly established him as an audience favourite.

Each evening starts at 7.30pm, with delicious pub grub food; the comedy kicks off at 9pm.  Tickets are priced at AED 200 inclusive of food at Emirates Golf Course; AED 150 at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Sharjah Rugby Club and Abu Dhabi Golf Club shows, exclusive of food; and AED 150 at Hilton Al Ain, where patrons can enjoy a set course Italian menu for only AED 90, just by showing their Punchline tickets on show night.
