The
highly anticipated 2013-2014 season of La
Liga BBVA - the Spanish Professional Football League (LFP-Liga de Futbol
Profesional) kicks off on Saturday, 17 August 2013 with the first two matches
featuring Real Sociedad going up against Getafe CF at 9:00 pm UAE time, and
Valladolid squaring off with Athletic at 11:00 pm UAE time.
On Sunday, 18 August, three big matches
have been scheduled as Malaga visits Mestalla to challenge Valencia at 1:00 am,
UAE time, and 2012-2013 champions Barcelona start their title defence at home
against Levante at 9:00 pm, UAE time. Two hours later, rivals Real Madrid take
on Real Betis in Carlo Ancelotti’s first competitive game in-charge of Los
Blancos at the Santiago Bernabeu at
11:00 pm, UAE time.
On Monday, 19 August at 1:00 am UAE
time, Copa del Rey winners Atletico
Madrid travel to Sevilla for their opening match.
