Al Ain Football Club Fans are amongst the most passionate in the world, according to a new survey. 77% of fans regard the club as one of the most important things in their life, which is one of the highest rankings in the world, according to industry experts.

The survey, which was devised to gather feedback from fans to enhance their match day experience, has uncovered phenomenal results showcasing the passion and dedication Al Ain Football Club fans have for their club.
“Having conducted these surveys across a variety of sports organizations, including several English Premier League clubs, this is one of the highest levels of supporter affinity and optimism we have seen,” said Dan Jones, Partner of Deloitte Sports Group, the Firm’s global sports team.

With the recent news of the club moving its home grounds to Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, 97% of survey respondents feel optimistic about Al Ain Football Club’s future. Fans have welcomed the move and are looking forward to the opening of the new stadium. The 25,000 seat stadium is set to open later this year, and aims to offer fans the best match day experience in the region, as well as providing best in class corporate hospitality options. Of the 25,000 seats, the stadium features 5,000 premium seats, a percentage that is the highest amongst stadia across the world.

One of the most exciting activities for a family is watching live matches, and that is why Al Ain Cub offers a daily opportunity to watch and enjoy matches. The intimacy and love a family could experience while supporting their favorite team is beyond words. The average age of the Al Ain Football Club supporter is 24. Over half of the total respondents have more than three children under the age of 16 as part of their household, a figure that demonstrates the need to enhance family offerings at stadia so that entire families can partake in the passion for football. This is an area the operator, Al Ain Club Investment Company is looking into. Existing plans for the new stadium include designated family areas with food and beverage offerings in order to ensure comfort for the entire family including the kids when they attend matches. Currently, 83% of supporters see Al Ain Football Club matches as an opportunity to attend with friends.

The Club’s fan base has been growing a lot lately especially in Al Ain because 59% of respondents reside in Al Ain, proving that Al Ain Football Club is deep-rooted within the community and its people. The Club, however, is looking to use the new stadium as well as the Club’s recent success to grow its fan-base in the UAE and internationally.

Al Ain Club did not miss the importance of providing the needs of its fans and supporters. We found that one key desire of fans that stood out was that they wanted to see increased availability of official club merchandise. The club is working on enhancing the merchandise offering with the opening of a flagship store within the premises and will soon be signing up with a world class sports apparel provider.

Fans also wanted the chance to reserve specific seats within the stadium. The logistics for this are currently being explored by Al Ain Club, which views seat allocations and reservations as a key factor in ensuring complete attendee satisfaction.
