@AbuDhabiArt Emirati Winners Announced for Abu Dhabi Art’s Wings Project

The designs of six Emirati artists have won the Abu Dhabi Art Wings Project competition organised by TCA Abu Dhabi.
Part of the wider Abu Dhabi Art Design Programme, it has received an enormously positive response which was supported by a multitude of submissions from all over the country to create new concepts featuring the Abu Dhabi Art ‘wing’ logo. Winners for this year’s Wings Project are: Eman Al Raesi, Kaltham Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Khalid Mahmood, Mariam Al Shamsi, Maryam AbdulRazaq Al Fahim, and Rahma Fadhel Al Mehairbi. Their designs will be on display in Artyfact, the merchandise space in Manarat Al Saadiyat and across the Abu Dhabi Art programme including printed materials, advertising and other related collateral. The artists will also be part of the wider education programme of Abu Dhabi Art this year.
“The encouragement that comes from first applying for the Wings Project is then escalated when the winning designs are presented to the visiting audiences during Abu Dhabi Art. With their designs now being exhibited on a global platform these Emirati artists are presented with a unique opportunity to share their creativity and ideas with this international art community, as well as continuing to enhance Abu Dhabi as the cultural destination it is,” says Hind Khouri, Marketing Manager, TCA Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi Art organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority is an annual platform for modern and contemporary art and design to be held from 20-23 November 2013. Sponsored by Julius Baer, Abu Dhabi Art is held at Manarat Al Saadiyat and the iconic UAE Pavilion on Saadiyat Island.
