Luxury ice cream brand expands into the UAE’s capital

Gourmet ice cream brand Häagen-Dazs has opened its first café in Abu Dhabi. The brand is celebrating their latest shop opening at Dalma Mall, Mussafah Area, Abu Dhabi.

“We are delighted to open our Dalma Mall café and are proud to unveil at the same time, a new look for Häagen-Dazs. Our Abu Dhabi café is the first one in the region to feature this new theme and décor. The new design will make visits to our café an even more luxurious experience for our consumers.” said Laurent Favreau, General Mills MENAT Marketing Director.

Dalma Mall’s Häagen-Dazs café takes the total number of cafés in the U.A.E to 12, and 37 in total in the region.

This opening follows a successful year in the region for the Haute Couture of ice cream brands. In May, the new “House of Häagen-Dazs” was announced conveying their philosophy of iconic luxury, experience and superior craftsmanship much in the way a fashion house would do. This latest expansion is a true testament to the luxury brand, going from strength to strength and paves the way for developments looking ahead to 2014.
Häagen-Dazs has plans to schedule several special events at the new Dalma Mall café starting in the New Year.
