Charity Cake Sale, Illusions Shows, Festive Photo opportunities and more at Deira City Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Centre
Dubai shopping malls managed by Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Deira City Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Centre, are all set to show their seasonal best this merry month. New décor and embellishments that exude a jolly feeling has transformed the malls into a festive winter wonderland.
Fun activities are scheduled for the entire family including Santa Claus taking souvenir photos and giving out stocking-shaped goody bags to kids at Deira City Centre; the annual Stollen charity cake sale on December 7th, meet and greet with Santa on December 13thand weekend family entertainment at Mall of the Emirates; and amazing magic tricks and illusions at a spectacular illusions show on December 19-25 at Mirdif City Centre.
“It is important for us to share holidays and help create special memories for shoppers, and we are excited about all of the festivities taking place throughout December at Deira City Centre, Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Centre,” said Fuad Sharaf, Senior Director – Asset Management, Shopping Malls for Majid Al Futtaim Properties. “As a special end-of-year treat, entertainment and kids’ activities are planned for families, as well as exclusive shopping specials to reward visitors.”
Adding to the festive cheer, Deira City Centre will be adorned with giant ornaments that float in the ceiling, garlands and multi-color curtain lights, as well as a beautifully lit and decorated Christmas tree. Visitors who look forward to festive installations at Mall of the Emirates will not be disappointed, as photos of extravagant decorations, Christmas tree and visits with Santa Claus. Families will enjoy a festive gazebo complete with hanging lights and ornaments at Mirdif City Centre, and the glittering Garden of Lights display at the outdoor dining area.
The popular ‘Hi-Fi Tuesdays’ has become even more exciting with a bigger prize pot of AED 10,000 for the month of December. Every spend of AED 150 at any store within the three malls entitles shoppers to enter a weekly draw: Dec 10th, Dec 17th, Dec 24thand Dec 31st. The winner has 15 minutes to collect the prize otherwise it will accumulate to the next draw.
It is a busy season too on social media! Facebook fans, Instagram and Twitter followers also get a chance to win weekly prizes and an up close experience with Santa. Fans can upload a photo of Deira City Centre’s or Mirdif City Centre’s festive décor onto the customized e-greeting card application on the malls’ Facebook pages. By personalizing it with a special message and sharing with a friend, fans will then automatically enter to win the weekly prize.
Mall of the Emirates has teamed up with Ski Dubai. Between Dec 5thand 20th, fans can express why they would like to meet Santa on Mall of the Emirates’ Facebook page:www.Facebook.com/MalloftheEmirates and one lucky family can win an exclusive photo shoot with Santa in the snow.

Children from the Dubai Centre Special Needs along with Santa Claus will arrive to sell the cakes at 3pm.
