Attending the closing ceremony at Al Fahim Group
Headquarters were His Excellency Rashed Mubarak Al Mansouri, Deputy Secretary
General of Local Affairs at the Emirates Red Crescent; His Excellency Eissa
Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Secretary General of Abdul Jalil Al Fahim & Family
Endowment,; Mr. Khaled Abdul Karim Al Fahim, Board Member of Al Fahim Group;
and, Mr. Sultan Mohammed Ali Al Shehi, Project Manager of Preservation of
Grace, Emirates Red Crescent.
At the ceremony, Mr. Khaled Al Fahim emphasized, “This
humanitarian initiative by Al Fahim Group corroborates the organization’s role
in promoting social activities and its genuine commitment in implementing
socially responsible projects since the group’s establishment. Consequently, I
would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of this
campaign and I urge them to continue serving the community.
“I am certain the contentment and satisfaction each of us has felt for appertaining to such
a moral cause is nothing less than what the beneficiaries feel when they
receive the aid,” he commented.
Al Fahim Group’s
culture of corporate social responsibility stems from the late founder, Abdul
Jalil Al Fahim (mercy upon him), whose financial and moral provisions to the
community were out of his belief that to succeed one must always give back. His
sons and daughters have inherited and abided by this value of Humanity
determined to continue developing and growing the group.
“Moreover, on the occasion of the 42nd UAE
National Day, I wish to congratulate Their Highnesses, Sheikhs and Rulers of
the Emirates, Members of the Federal Supreme Council and the entire UAE
nation,” he continued. “May God almighty sustain this benediction of unity,
prosperity and growth, on our beloved country.”
In his speech, Mr. Sultan Al Shehi praised, “Al Fahim
Group’s initiative, in cooperation with the Preservation of Grace, highlights
the relationship between the government and private sectors and has a great
impact on society. Through these initiatives we convey the significance of
preserving the environment by fostering a culture of moderation when it comes
to consuming food to avoid extravagance, or by reusing items instead of
discarding them such as clothes and other household and office supplies.
“The goal of this campaign is to also encourage
philanthropy and the preservation of our environment as part of Abu Dhabi’s
2030 Vision. The Emirates Red Crescent founded the Preservation of Grace
project defining sustainability as one of its main goals by reducing the
country’s waste through the management of reusing food, clothes, furniture, and
other material. Studies have shown that half of the waste which is disposed by
us, is reusable,” stated Mr. Al Shehi. In his closing remarks, he congratulated
the attendees in celebration of the 42nd National Day hoping for
more prosperity for the United Arab Emirates.
