Moda Operandi Launches Trunkshows for Russia’s Emerging Designers
Spring/Summer 2014 Collections from A La Russe, Ruban, Vilshenko, Alexandr Kondakov, Alexander Terekhov, Esme Vie, Natasha Zinko, Kalmonovich, and Master Peace

Moda Operandi, the first online luxury retailer to provide consumers access to the full collections of top designers, is launching trunkshows of the Spring/Summer 2014 collections of Russia’s brightest new design talent. The first of the eight trunkshows launches today with A La Rusee and Ruban, continuing with Vilshenko and Alexandr Kondakov on December 6, Alexander Terekhov and Esme Vie on December 7, and Natasha Zinko, Kalmanovich and Master Peace on December 8.

Moda Operandi GMM & Creative Director of Trunkshows, Indre Rockefeller, who spearheads the sourcing of new talent for the company, attended Moscow Fashion Week in November.  Moda Operandi’s innovative platform enables emerging designers to build greater brand awareness and reach new customers from around the world.
“I was so inspired by my trip to Moscow,” said Rockefeller.  “What struck me was the appetite for innovation and discovery among fashion designers, while at the same time, there is a reverence for the rich cultural history of the country. I think that the fusion of the two is really exciting.”

Each designer ‘s collection offers a distinct point of view.  Julia Vilshenko’s Russian-infused evening gowns and 60s inspired bell-shape dresses with mesh tulle and velvet silk details are elegant and artfully crafted.  Alexander Terekhov creates easy to wear, loose-fitting silhouettes and Ruban is characterized by a beautiful color palette, incorporation of layering and sheer panels that are seen in so many Spring Summer 2014 collections.

Each of the trunkshows from the Russian designers will live on the site for a minimum of two weeks from the day of launch.
