Global Village CEO Undertakes His First Full Visit Of Global Village’s Pavilions As Part Of His Ongoing Attention To The Detailed Operations Of The Park






United Arab Emirates, Dubai, 12 November 2012:  As part of Global Village’s ongoing efforts to maintain relations with its investors and exhibitors, its CEO Saeed Ali Bin Redha, undertook his first full visit of the park on Sunday the 11th of November 2012. This maiden tour included a visit to all the participating pavilions, in which the CEO stopped to discuss current operations and took suggestions from the exhibitors in order to maintain the transparent relationship that has always characterized Global villages’ success in the past and continues to do so during this 17th consecutive season.
The CEO’s tour of the park included a stop at the Brazilian pavilion, one of Global Village’s first time participants for this year, whereby he inspected what more than forty exhibitors had to offer visitors. From organic produce to Brazilian artisanal works, most significantly made from rare golden grass native to the Tocantins State, the products on offer in the Brazil pavilion present a comprehensive feel of the country’s wealth of culture and resources. 
Next stop on his tour was the Emirati Pavilion, where the Emirates’ ovation and generous Arab hospitality welcomed the visitor with coffee and dates tasting. The local pavilion also includes a number of handmade artisanal products made by Emirati women. The Emirates pavilion is full of enticing offerings, such as intricately embroidered abayas, handmade accessories laid with the finest Swarovski crystals, as well as the best quality of Oud and incents. Bin Redha praised the local talents that are behind these products and expressed his support for the valuable meaning of their work and efforts to develop the local private sector with their small yet important business operations. Bin Redha also tasted many of the Emirati food on offer such as the handmade bread freshly baked at the entrance of pavilion and other signature treats.
The CEO’s tour continued to the Egyptian pavilion, where he got to learn about the important annexes to it, such as the Egyptian museum wing, which featured exact replicas of Pharaoh-era statues, sculptures and mummies that are being exhibited to visitors free of charge. The tour also took the time to watch exerts from the Egyptian Araess theater. Bin Redha commended the amount of exhibits in the Egyptian pavilion; where he talked to many of the exhibitors about their experience so far this season. He also enquired about which nationalities are showing most interest in their national products, he also signed the Egyptian Museum visitors’ log.
The tour also included the Lebanon pavilion, which contains many shops that sell Lebanese products and produce such as music albums for the venerable Fairuz and cedar wood artifacts. The CEO also met many of the exhibitors that expressed their happiness in being part of Global Village.
And during his visit at the Indian pavilion, which is the largest pavilion this year at Global Village, Bin Redha met with a number of the exhibitors and enquired about how their business is performing. He also praised them on the fair pricing of the artisan products that India is famed for. Exhibitors then expressed their agreement with the extension of Global Village’s operating dates as a result of the high number of visitors; they also praised the levels of organization and commended the cooperation and support they are receiving from Global Village’s various organizational committees and government entities and the ease of procedures.
And among the Gulf country pavilions, Bin Redha visited the Saudi pavilion that is filled with a range of dates that the kingdom is so famous for. The entire pavilion is currently getting ready for the exhibition of the largest and heaviest book ever produced on the topic of Prophet Mohammed’s life story in a special room that is currently being built. Bin Redha also had a look at other Saudi produces such as dairy products, as well as olive oil (produced in KSA from olives sourced from other countries) in addition to honeys, incents and perfumes.
Bin Redha also stopped at the Iranian Pavilion, where his visit coincided with a video presentation depicting the steps of how Iranian Saffron, considered the finest in the world, is handpicked and cultivated. The Iran Pavilion exhibitors have strived to offer their products with very special prices in order to entice a greater number of visitors. The Persian country is also renowned for its artisanal production of rugs, with their colors and patterns of wool and silk. Demonstrating the finest work of Persian carpeting, two very special large rugs had been displayed with an estimated worth of almost three million dirham each. The Iranian Pavilion does not run out of enticing artifacts, from stained glass arts, and three dimensional drawings that have proved successful and attractive to visitors.
The CEO concluded his visit with a tour of the Kuwait Pavilion that is located beside the artificial lake. There, he met with a number of exhibitors that are presenting their latest Kuwaiti fashion designs in addition to dates and fragrances. Bin Redha also conversed with the exhibitors who expressed their commitment to participating at Global Village every year, admiring the steps taken this year, such as the diversity of shows, raffle draws and valuable prizes, to attract even more people to Global Village and increase retail activity as a result.
The CEO’s tour took to the outer areas of Global Village, passing by the dancing fountains and the many folkloric shows on display at the various stages. The schedule of activities this year is the richest and busiest in the history of the park, and that is a result of the diligent efforts put in by the organizing committees to ensure that visitors get a truly multi-cultural and entertaining experience, making their visit memorable.
This season, Global Village has ensured the provision of better services to its visitors, as it began by the announcement of a prolonged season of 161 days in addition to offering more than 26 restaurants and 160 kiosks, as well as hosting 37 pavilions representing more than 65 countries. Global Village has also provided more than 16,500 car parking spaces and a number of VIP packs, in order to make a Global Village visit an unforgettable experience.
Located on the Emirates Road for ease of access, the Global Village has parking space for 16,500 cars and entry prices will remain as always, and children less than three years old, the elderly and people with special needs will be admitted free of charge – making it one of the best value for money destinations in the region.
