Awarded one hat by What’s On for The Black Hat Guide 2013, Claypot serves traditional Indian dishes and delicacies inspired by the Northern regions of India. Claypot is a fully licensed restaurant and the extensive menu includes affordable business lunches, sumptuous chicken nawabi, makhani dal, chaats and the classic Biryani which is served in a claypot with a naan bread lid. The food is delicately spiced to allow all the individual flavours to come to life in a charming combination of taste and texture.
The interior design of Claypot is simple and contemporary with a muted underlying Indian theme. The colour palate of oranges, reds and browns is inspired by the colour of spices in Indian cuisine and set against stone clad walls, these colours add warmth and earthiness to the restaurant ambiance. For a personal touch the walls are adorned by colourful India tapestries. Inspired by a marquee design, the seating area features raised booths with curtains on either side allowing for privacy.
To complete your dining experience, the resident live band plays contemporary Bollywood music, classic numbers and takes in diners’ requests.
Claypot is located on the ground floor of Citymax Hotel, Bur Dubai on Kuwait Street. Free underground parking is available at the hotel.
