The tournament’s silver sponsor, ADFCA goes head-to-head with Daman’s ActiveLife, as HAAD takes on  ADNEC  for a place in the Play for Life Cup Final (October 10).

In an interesting quarter final pairing, ADFCA took on Cleveland Clinic keeping the gold sponsor on their toes from the off. ADCFA scored the first of their two goals in within five seconds of the ref’s whistle as CCAD –until now the tournament’s top goal scoring team – failed to add to their 16 goal accumulation (2-0).
Meanwhile, two frequent visitors to the tournament, SEHA and ActiveLife gave each other a run for the money, into five minutes extra time which led to a penalty shoot-out that took the Daman team to the semis with three goals against SEHA’s two (2-3).

HAAD took a one goal lead in the first half against IRENA and held on to this literally until the final second when they scored a second goal on the whistle to secure a place in the fifth night of play, against ADNEC (2-0).

ADNEC’s place in the semis was well earned as they held their ground against Mubadala. Indeed, it could have been anyone’s game, until extra time followed by a penalty shoot out allowed ADNEC the opportunity to put home three goals to Mubadala’s one (3-1).

The semi-finals and the Cup Final will be played Thursday evening at Zayed Sports City.
