Dubai Police reinforce the Security Efforts of Global Village over the Eid Al Adha Celebrations.

In preparation to Eid celebrations that will be held over the next few days, Dubai Police will be assisting security personnel at the Global Village. According to Colonel Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Acting Director of the General Department of Organisational Safety, Protective Security and Emergency of Dubai Police;  “ The Security Committee is working towards securing activities in the city, by implementing specialised procedures that will provide the highest levels of safety and security to visitors of Global Village. These procedures are aimed to guarantee visitor enjoyment to the park from the day of inauguration and throughout the entire season, and are planned in cooperation with the Civil Defence Directorate, Dubai Ambulance and the Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Municipality.

Al Ghaithi added that: “The security committee, under the directives of HE Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, offers continuous support and advice to the management of Global Village every year during the preparatory and operation periods, by assisting the security forces within the venue. A special operations room was set up for Global Village to receive reports by calling 04-3624444, while visitors and employees can find emergency numbers on signs posted throughout the Village. All of Global Village’s security personnel have been trained to regulate traffic on the roads from and to Global Village as well its 17,000 capacity parking areas, and they include specialised groups of criminal investigators, security officers, women police, as well as traffic police.

Colonel Al Ghaithi hailed the efficiency of the security plan that has been prepared to deal with any emergency or evacuation procedures. He wished all the visiting families an enjoyable time at Global Village where they can experience the numerous activities on offer.

Dubai Police spare no effort in serving and protecting the community with the aim of achieving security and safety in Dubai, in line with its vision and strategy.


Commenting on the Dubai Police Support, Fahd Al Khaja, director, government relations and administrative affairs at Global Village said: “Continuous cooperation between Global Village and the Security Committee of Dubai Police has contributed largely to our work during the preparatory period.” “We are looking forward to further cooperation during the operation season of the activities.”  He added.
