Gleeds
Gulf is proud to announce their participation in the Cityscape Global 2013
Exhibition for investment and real estate development, taking place at Dubai
International Conference and Exhibition Centre, from 8 to 10 October 2013.
Cityscape, where investors, developers, governments, architects, real estate
consultants and designers meet to exchange information discuss issues and
participate in drawing the features of the future of this industry. Attracting
more than 2500 participants, it is considered the annual opportunity for the
companies to build and maintain their position in the Middle East real estate
markets.
“This
is the first time that Gleeds has exhibited at Cityscape Dubai and having built
up a very solid practice in the last few years we feel that we have quite a lot
to offer to the visitors of this event. We are very excited to participate in
Cityscape as it presents a tremendous opportunity for our team here to meet and
exchange ideas and opportunities with other organisations involved in the
U.A.E’s enormous programme of development” said Projects Director, Jonathan
Robinson.
“Gleeds
Gulf is currently providing project management, cost management and dispute
advisory services. ‘We have a strong and dynamic locally-based team who are
well supported by our global group and this gives us the chance to provide high
level services to our U.A.E clients through projects which are done according
to the global standards”.
“The
clients in Dubai understand the benefits of engaging with quantity surveyors
and cost managers to assist in achieving the project objectives. The staff
employed by Gleeds, qualified according to RICS standards, hold a proven
track-record of performance and delivery", he added.
“Effective
and proactive cost management is crucial to the success of any project and it
is important that this begins in the early stages of the project – ideally at
the conception stage. It is the stage where the majority of the decisions are
made such decisions are related to cost and influential on the work that
follows through design and construction. It is vital that the client’s
expectations at the beginning for the project are aligned with his expectations
of budget and cost. With a brief and budget established, a strategy of ‘design
to cost’ can then be established to minimize any delay or risk resulting from
revisiting the design to reduce cost at later stages”.
Gleeds
Gulf are accredited as Grade ‘A’ Quantity Surveyors in UAE and has completed a
number of projects such as New York University in Abu Dhabi as an Independent
Certifier, Project Manager of Etihad Tower Office project, cost manager for the
establishment of Meraas Engineers Office of Meraas Holding, in addition to the
gatehouse of the British Embassy in Dubai.
Regionally,
Gleeds operates from its offices in Cairo, Alexandria, Abu Dhabi and Dubai and
is growing rapidly and expanding across MENA region and GCC. This expansion is
due to the long term and strong relationships that Gleeds has established with
regional clients such as Futtaim, Emaar, Msheirib and many more.
Bruce
Haswell, Gleeds Regional Director said, “we are honored to contribute to UAE's
impressive and challenging real estate plans through our delivery of high
quality and independent cost and contract management services. Our continued
investment in Gleeds staff, training and technology aims to ensure that we
remain at the forefront of our profession. We are constantly improving the
level of our service to our clients by benefiting from our past performance to
refine and enhance our response to clients’ requirements. The industry is
always evolving and our ethos of blending our strong local market knowledge
with the best international standards of professional practice is a winning
formula that assures the trust of our clients in the services that we provide”.
Haswell
added, “Gleeds Gulf is a living example of that winning formula: the investment
we have made in our staff and service has been translated into trust and
respect from our clients and colleague consultants allowing us to rapidly grow
in UAE, doubling our business in the past year alone. We have set some
ambitious targets and support systems for the coming years to ensure that our
quality and reliability are maintained. I am proud of our team’s achievements
and consistency and I have a great deal of faith in them to uphold the very
best industry standards as well as Gleeds’ own very high standard of practice,
quality of delivery and reliability of advice. U.A.E is embarking on its
ambitious plan of real estate and infrastructure development and Cityscape is a
reflection of that plan. We are very proud to participate in this event and
demonstrate our ability to contribute to the successful plan of development of
UAE”.
