Final preparations for Friday’s spectacular Ice Show at Zayed Sports City



Full rehearsals taking place for the shows on December 7 and 8 
Abu Dhabi, December 6, 2012: Final dress rehearsals for this year’s Ice Show at Zayed Sports City have given fans a glimpse of what promises to be the most incredible performances yet.
With 40 members of the Abu Dhabi Figure Skating team taking part the routines and storytelling involved will be more elaborate and exciting than ever before.
Tickets for the performances, on December 7 and 8 (tomorrow and Saturday) at 5.30pm, are on sale now.
A total of 15 different nationalities are taking part in the show, this year called “Seasons on Ice”, with the youngest performer being just five years old.
Zahra Lari, the young local star who is preparing for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic qualifiers, will also take to the ice as a central character.
Maria Gedeon, Director of Marketing, Zayed Sports City, said: “The dress rehearsals prove just how far the team has come this year in terms of how exciting the show will be.
“We are very proud of the previous sell out years and I can promise everyone that Seasons on Ice is going to be the best yet. The skaters have worked really hard on this year’s show with the new choreographer Tunde Gal, Choreographer and Ice Coach, also a professional skater who has toured the world with some of the largest productions”
Gedeon added: “Every single person involved has out so much effort into this and we cannot wait for the public to come and see the skaters perform.
“The team will be creating some magical moments out there on the ice.”

VIP tickets (including snacks, drinks and the best seats in the house) cost AED 140;
Adult tickets cost AED 70 and child tickets (3-18) cost AED 40. Groups of 20 kids or more tickets cost AED 30, Kids who are two years and under are free if they sit on their parent’s lap.
