Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi, the Official Hotel Partner for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship 2012, announced a range of exciting initiatives and activities surrounding the major tennis spectacular, which sees the arrival of the World’s biggest tennis stars: Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, David Ferrer, Tomas Berdych, Janko Tipsarevic and Nico Almagro to the UAE’s capital Abu Dhabi.   Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi is actively supporting the Mubadala World Tennis Championship as it creates a unique atmosphere that provides a fun, family-orientated experience at the Tennis Village at the Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex at Zayed Sports City.

Fans will be able to enjoy Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi’s activation booth and enjoy a delicious and healthy smoothie from Yas Lounge.  Visitors will also be gifted a specially branded sweat band and will also be invited to enter a competition for a chance to win a luxurious two night getaway for four persons at the Yas Viceroy.

For the duration of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi will be exhibiting a striking exhibition of modern art, showcasing the work of Italian artist and photographer Francesca Galliani, whose creative edge has distinguished her as an internationally respected mixed media artist.  She has quickly become renowned for her signature use of paint and collage superimposed on her own photographs.  Galliani has cleverly fused photographs of the iconic Yas Viceroy structure treated with images of the 6 tennis players, and combined these with the artistic strokes of her paintbrush.  The result are six unique, symbolic masterpieces, each dedicated to one of the six players, which will adorn the lobby of the hotel and which will be sold with profits from each athlete’s art piece going to a charity of their choice.
Andreas Kohn, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing of Yas Viceroy commented, “In addition to promoting our hotel as a luxury destination for a healthy and active lifestyle, we would also like to be recognized for our support of the Art & Culture scene in the UAE.  We are very excited about the art exhibition by artist Francesca Galliani, which artistically fuses images of our hotel and the tennis players and which will be on display in the hotel throughout the Championship.  But what we are most excited about, is donating the sales proceeds from the art pieces to the MWTC player’s charity of choice.”
Yas Viceroy will also be hosting an exclusive Cocktail Reception for the Official Sponsors of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship where they will experience an amazing opportunity to get up close and personal with the star players in an intimate, hip and fashionable setting.
In preparation for the start of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi’s iconic canopy of colored lights will be swathed in yellow on the evening of Thursday December 26th. Once the Championship starts, the hotel’s canopy of lights will feature a great spectacle of bouncing balls to celebrate the players and the tennis.
Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi launched an exciting Mubadala World Tennis Championship package which includes Deluxe room accommodation, daily breakfast for two, two tickets to the Mubadala World Tennis Championship for the three days as well as convenient, daily transport to and from Zayed Sport City.
The iconic Yas Viceroy, which has rightfully earned its title as one of the city’s most recognised landmarks, and one of the world’s key references in luxury and design hotels, will play host to a number of VIP gatherings throughout the tournament. The hotel will also have a corporate hospitality chalet at the tennis stadium at Zayed Sports City, where VIP guests can relax and enjoy the hotel’s signature healthy smoothies.
