Global Village, where the world comes together, is set to receive crowds for
the perfect New Year’s Eve celebrations. The theme park has prepared its
schedule for the event diligently so that families can amuse and cheer out loud
as the countdown to 2013 begins.
The choices are numerous for every family member celebrating New Year’s
Eve at Global Village. Pavilions representing more than 65 countries for
starters, and families can feel less nostalgic as they visit the pavilion
representing their homeland. In addition to the many nationalities involved,
families can rejoice in one place where the whole world comes together. As
people from all walks of life have come to celebrate in harmony at the theme
park, New Year’s resolution may very well be signed-off with love and peace to
the world.
The schedule of celebrations includes a “Parade of Nations” with more
than 300 people from different countries in their respective countries’
traditional dress. An in-house DJ will perform on the World Culture Stage from
11:00pm until just before midnight when the countdown will take center stage
ushering the New Year in a dazzling 5-minute display of enhanced fireworks.
Meanwhile, children’s fun eve will begin early with many activities
line-up. There will be face painters, a festive atmosphere with decorations on
the mini-train, Golf cars and bubble machines as well as confetti give-away to
engage and delight children.
Four new shows will be making their debut on New Year’s Eve including
Circulation, Belarus, Ghana Cultural Show and the Lion Dance Street Show.
Families can also enjoy the other shows presented within the pavilions or any
of the street shows.
New Year’s Eve dinner can be served from a long menu of nations
represented in the special kiosks and more than 26 restaurants and within
pavilion food joints spread over the theme park to cater to everyone’s taste.
With its 37 pavilions representing world countries, restaurants and
cultural entertainments, Global Village is set to resemble the ideal
destination for an outdoor new year’s celebration. The park will be open on
Monday, the last day of year 2012, until 2:00am to ensure that families can
enjoy a late evening out.
