INTRODUCING
A NEW HAIR CARE RANGE FROM LUSH!
Lush launches a brand new range of hair
products – shampoos, conditioners and treatments – to care for, nourish and
generally restore your mane to its very best.
SHAMPOOS
Blousey shampoo (240g) … a gentle shampoo for
treated, dyed or coloured hair that will revitalise and put some life back into
it. Nourishing bananas are emollient to hold moisture on the hair, making
them extremely softening and conditioning. There are also spices like
pimento and anise to stimulate the scalp and hair growth and cocoa and cupuacu
butter (from Brazil) will moisturise and add shine to it. Hair
is left feeling incredibly loved and looked after and scented with rose oil,
blackcurrant absolute and juniperberry oil, with a little stimulating thyme oil
and rosemary oil thrown in to look after the scalp. Vegan
Fair
Trade Honey
shampoo (100g) … this
bottle is full of the power of flowers, collected and concentrated for you by
the bees. The base is over 50% fair trade honey and 20% linseed mucilage,
both of which will moisturise and add shine and lustre to your locks.
Using so much honey means that we can make this shampoo preservative free, as
honey is such a concentrated form of sugar that bacteria can’t grow in
it. It also means we can support fair trade suppliers from around the
world. Vegetarian
If you live in a hard water area the calcium
in the water can build up and be harsh on your hair. This softens and
cleanses in a perfect balance for hard water areas. Honey suits most heads of
hair too; it gives you shine, lustre and volume. This is a good
moisturising shampoo for nearly everyone.
CONDITIONERS
Big Solid Conditioner (100g) … inspired
by the fantastically popular Big shampoo, this is a complementary solid
conditioner. For all hair types, this conditioner comes in big slabs and
you buy the weight you want, just like fresh produce. It contains 17% sea
salt to help give the hair volume and shine, without weighing it down.
There’s also lots of super softening coconut oil to condition the hair and help
tame fly away tresses; candelilla wax and jojoba oil to nourish and add shine;
lemon oil to help the cuticles lay flat; vegetable glycerine to coat the hair
and seal in moisture; and an incredibly beautiful uplifting perfume of vanilla
absolute, vetivert oil, jasmine absolute and bergamot oil. Leaves hair
soft, silky and smelling divine. Use it with Big shampoo for a double
whammy of volume.
Vegan
How to use: After you’ve
shampooed your hair, gently stroke this onto your locks. There’s no need to
work up a creamy lather in your hands like with Jungle. Then rinse out
carefully for fragrant, bouncy tresses.
Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioning hair perfume (250g) …
your hair will be feeling happy, happy, joy, joy after being conditioned with
this one! There’s almond milk to moisturise and strengthen hair; jojoba
oil to add shine; and grapefruit and lime oils to refresh and provide even more
shine. But what really sets this conditioner apart is the fragrance, it’s
based around neroli and grapefruit as these oils bring the happy happy.
The joy joy is what you spread as you float through your day! Vegan
HAIR TREATMENTS
Roots
healthy scalp cream (225g) … a treatment for thin and fine hair.
The
route to mighty fine hair! Fine hair needs careful looking after, this
treatment is packed full of ingredients to revitalise it from root to
tip. There’s honey to soften; fresh eggs to add protein to the hair and
scalp and to add shine; along with some extra virgin olive oil to strengthen
and condition the hair. It’s one of Mark Constantine’s trichcology
creams from the early days when he worked at a well-known West End hair salon
and really needed to sort people’s hair out. Roots works on the scalp to
make it beautifully healthy, which in turn makes your hair healthy, strong,
shiny and voluminous. He added lots of menthol to the recipe, which
stimulates the scalp and encourages hair to grow to its full length, giving the
appearance of thicker hair. Vegetarian
How to use this one … Get someone to apply to
dry hair for you and give you a lovely head massage! Get this one onto
the scalp first and gently massage, then coat the hair and leave it on for 20
minutes. Gently shampoo out and condition as normal. Use 3 times a
week for a couple of weeks to see real improvement.
Seaspray
hair mist (100g) … There’s a sea mist rolling in – but this one leaves you
fresh, uplifted and perfumed. A salty spritz that gives body, volume and hold. Sea
Spray can be used in many ways to give hold and style, apply before blow-drying
or apply to dry hair and work through for beach waves. Gives shine to the
hair and has a beautiful perfume of orange flower absolute, grapefruit, neroli
and rosewood oils. Vegan
Shine So Bright (10g) … a balm to transform split ends and make
your hair shine so bright. This will repair split ends with a plethora of
strengthening ingredients, such as Extra Virgin olive oil, fresh free-range
eggs and fair trade coconut oil. Coconut oil also adds condition and
shine. Fragranced with an uplifting blend of orange flower absolute,
grapefruit, neroli and rosewood. Vegetarian
How to use … Just like a lip balm, use your
finger to melt the butters and oils, then stroke it onto the ends of your hair
to help repair split ends and perfume your hair beautifully.
Superbalm For Scalps (45g) … this is exactly as the name
suggests, a super soothing balm for serious scalp problems. When the
scale builds up on the scalp and can’t be removed by shampooing, or when hair
comes out in clumps with flakes of scalp attached to the root – this is when
you need Superbalm.
Based
on Lush’s Ultrablam,
this is a type of ointment used in Trichological treatments to soothe a red
scalp, eczema, dermatitis and dandruff. Coconut oil, chamomile blue and
candelilla wax works to soothe and moisturise, while lavender oil is a general
tonic on skin irritations.
Vegan
How to use … For anyone with a troubled dry
scalp, take a small amount on your fingertip then gently massage into the scalp
– it’s not really for the hair so try to be careful to apply it directly to the
scalp. Leave for about 20 minutes and then wash out, before shampooing
and conditioning as normal. You will be left with a nice residual amount
to soften and soothe the scalp.
